This post of mine?

Adminis edit the content of other people's posts? Wow, I can't imagine that's within their purview.

Or this one?

I understand the rule about thread titles matching articles' headlines if an article is used as an OP. Is that what happened, or something else?

These are both in YAP.

Which post of mine? I'm lost.

I'm sorry. It was Belle's post about editing a post of a Forum member by an Admin. I thought that you have said something about it, but anyway I'm sure that it came up in the discussion about Brojees et al and Forums. I just got it mixed up.

Hello, all. It is about to become a rainy day here in sunny Florida. We have been getting hammered by thunderstorms on a daily basis. At this point we have coastal flood warnings. We’re high and dry here but some inland areas nearby could be affected. For us it’s just soggy. We did have sunshine for the morning and it was not very humid, good walking weather. I imagine the humidity was being sucked up into the thunderheads. It’s coming back as rain as I type.

Good luck with both of your appointments, Robbie.

I hope you’re on the mend, Lis.

Have a good day, all.

Hope the doctor's appointment and Jackson's training go well, Robbie.

I would never be a fan of a board where posters could modify each other's posts. Way too much opportunity for some people who don't know how to control themselves.

I'm okay with moderators being able to make changes. Part of the rules of the board.... There are good reasons for that power to be in place.

I just woke up at 1:45 pm after being up and down all night. I don't feel any better, but I don't feel any worse, so the meds are starting to make a difference. emoticon

I'm sorry for what you are going through, Lis; and I'm grateful for your meds, because they will zap the bronchitis. I hope they won't take much longer to do it.

Thanks for the good thoughts....

Cephalexin (500 mg) two capsules twice a day.

Benzonatate (200 mg) one every eight hours.

Codeine-Guaifen (10 ml) every four hours.

I'm still getting into coughing jags where I can't get my breath back, but they're happening less often, so I'm grateful. I'm still exhausted -- and all three meds say they'll cause drowsiness. So I think I'm headed out to take another nap....

Jackson did well in his training session today. The trainer brought in a real dog and we probably got within 12 feet of it. Then he got another dog and we might have gotten even a little closer.

The trainer will send me notes and make suggestions about what's next.

Once again I got home from the dentist and grocery store and no Shadow to greet me. I said, "Where's my kitty?" Immediately from the corner window behind the other recliner came "Mrroooowww"! She came out to meet Dad, talking all the way until I got to pet her. This is one funny cat!

The difference between a cat and a dog is that a dog is trainable. A cat is a wild animal. What does that say about people who are cat people and people who are dog people?

I’m back from Mom’s. She finally rousted herself for a while yesterday. She took a liking to one heat ‘n serve item I bought: creamed spinach, which happens to be a favorite of mine.

Lis - that drug regimen sounds just like what I got with my last bout of bronchitis. During a previous bout, I was also on steroids to facilitate breathing. I hated the steroids. They made me feel weird.

Glad your training with Jackson is going on, Robbie.

Since I came home to an empty pantry, I have to pick up some carryout, and shop tomorrow.

Sleep and lots of liquids will help the meds work their magic, Lis. The codeine cough syrup is notorious for making you sleepy!

So far, no, Robbie. I’m going to touch base with a couple of women in my quilting guild who have placed moms in either assisted living or nursing care, plus one cousin who’s been there done that, and I’m going to lean on my siblings to do likewise.

I’m going to check with Mom’s church to see if they have any advice. They do some social service stuff but I don’t know if it includes elderly services.

Welcome home, Birdz. I join the others in hoping that you'll find a good solution for yourself and your mom....

Good luck with Jackson's continued training, Robbie!

These meds sure are knocking me for a loop. I left here around 4:00 to take a nap and woke up just round midnight. The meds, of course, had worn off, so the coughing brought me back to take more. Everything is fuzzy.... Just continuing to stay in and not do anything important.... It's a completely bizarre feeling. Just let me sleep through it, please....
