Tough loss for the Seahawks, Robbie.

I thought the Patriots would be ready for bear after last week’s shocking last minute loss in Miami. And on the first drive that the Patriots touched the ball Brady hit a deep pass for an easy score. But that was the last touchdown they scored thanks to the outstanding Steeler defense. It was a must win for Pittsburgh. Next week they have another test in New Orleans.

GO STEELERS!!!

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

The Rams lose at home. NO is now a game up on them for home field and owns the tiebreaker.

Cooter, it appears Coach Mac is headed back to Mississippi as an assistant coach, so he will get to keep the $10 million severance pay from Colorado since the agreement said he would forfeit the severance pay ONLY if he took a head coaching job!

I know this year's record was abysmal, but I really admired the way Coach Mac built up the character of the young men on the CU Buffs team. He really made a difference in their lives. Take good care of him down there, will ya?

Wow, what a game between the Saints and Steelers!

Brick, I'm so sorry. Your Steelers played one helluva game. Poor Ridley is going to be the goat of the game, unless Smith-Schuster is.

Cooter, congratulations to your Saints. They never gave up and ended up with a well-earned W.

I have no fingernails remaining.

Huge win for the Seahawks. Pete is my Coach Of The Year.

It's too bad that Pittsburgh may not get into the playoffs. That is a very good team that just hit a bad streak, including Ben.

That was a huge win for the Seahawks, especially given that the Chiefs were so incredibly good. Quarterback Patrick Mahones has a wonderful future ahead of him.

I'm sorry for the Steelers, too. They deserve a post-season.

Thanks for the thoughts, folks. The Steelers stumbled. In this league it is the difference between making the post season and not. The game against the Saints was hard fought and hinged on mistakes. I hated the outcome, but credit to Drew Brees and the Saints.

Congratulations on the Seahawk win, Robbie. And congrats to the Saints, Cooter. I’m now hoping for the unlikely Brown’s win over the charging Ravens. *fingers crossed*

GO TEAMS!!!

The Browns are hot! I give them a reasonable chance to win.

Notre Dame v. Clemson tomorrow - I might even watch. It could be a great game.

Lis, I kinda gave up on football about 5 years ago, but this game on Saturday looks too good. I have dinner plans at 7, but I should be able to get the first half and a piece of the second in before that.

I don't watch football at all (unless the Colts go far into the playoffs) -- and didn't even know Notre Dame was playing. So you're definitely ahead of me! Hope you enjoy it. emoticon

Clemson 30-3 over Notre Dame? That wasn't all that much fun.

The Steelers were cheering for their arch rival of many years and the Browns came within a whisker of knocking off the Ravens. It was a nail biter into the final seconds.

Congratulations, Robbie, on Seattle’s win. I’ll have to wait until next year to see the Steelers meet the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. Good luck to all of the contenders!
