The Bears defense is pretty good.

Hugh Freeze left us with a program in need of re-construction, Susie. It's going to be a few years before we can beat anybody. I've got two assistant coaches in my sights already.

And looked even better against a Seahawks offense, which is pretty bad.

Thanks, Brick. As I said pre-season, I'm a Steelers fan this year.

You may recall that the University of Colorado program was in tatters for years, Cooter. Our current coach has done a pretty good job of rebuilding things.

Robbie, I was remarking that I believe the Seahawks may be doing poorly this year because Lynch now plays for the Raiders and Sherman now plays for the 49ers? Why would Seattle trade such powerful offensive players?

Pete Carroll always does this. His answer would be, because they are old and expensive.

The Hawks absolutely suck so far this year.

Well, they may be old and expensive, but Lynch played a helluva game for the Raiders in the Raider-Bronco game on Sunday. I'd say he's worth the expense!!

Many of us are in mourning over the loss of Lynch and Sherman. The mourning is getting deeper as we see the new guys.

I'll be stunned if the Saints have even eight wins this year with an absolutely pitiful defensive secondary.

Looks like my best hopes will be with the Redskins and they can't win with that dipshit of an owner.

I didn't count on the Falcons turning it over when they could go up by two scores.

Saints win in OT!!

[sign in to see URL], Redskins, Saints, and Seahawks all win. Can the Steelers make it a Quintela?

Wow, Brick, the Steelers let the Buccaneers back into the game just enough to make the ending really exciting!

The Steeler defense is still suspect, but I’ll take the pleasant surprise. *g* congrats on your pleasant surprise, Robbie. The Steelers did manage to make it a nail biter, but a win is a win. I hope they can build on it.

MLB Playoff Picture: Get ready for a dramatic finish in the National League postseason race

With just three days left, the NL Central, NL West and NL wild card races are unsettled

by Matt Snyder | 23 h ago

Just three days remain in the 2018 Major League Baseball regular season. Lots of races are sewn up, but there's plenty of drama here this coming weekend. Let's take a look.

What's done

The Red Sox (107-52, [sign in to see URL]% World Series champs) are the AL East champs and top seed. The Astros (100-58, [sign in to see URL]%) are the AL West champs and No. 2 seed. The Indians (89-70, [sign in to see URL]%) are the AL Central champs and No. 3 in the AL. The Yankees (98-61, [sign in to see URL]%) and Athletics (96-63, [sign in to see URL]%) are the two AL wild cards.

Over on the NL side, the Braves (89-70, [sign in to see URL]%) are the NL East champions. The Cubs and Brewers have clinched playoff spots.

What's almost done

With just three games to play, the Yankees hold a two-game lead over the A's for the first wild card, so it's overwhelmingly likely that the game will be played in Yankee Stadium. The A's visit the Angels for three games while the Yankees are at the Red Sox (who, again, don't have anything to play for).

In play
Everything else!

Tiger Woods hasn't won a Ryder Cup match since 2010

Adam Woodard, USA TODAY Published 11:39 a.m. ET Sept. 29, 2018 | Updated 12:14 p.m. ET Sept. 29, 2018

SAINT-QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES, France – Tiger Woods has always been at his best on Sundays, and the Ryder Cup is no different.

Woods’ 5 and 4 loss in Saturday afternoon’s foursomes match against Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood was his sixth loss in a row in foursome and fourball matches. With his overall record in the two match types now at an abysmal 9-19-1, Tiger needs just two more losses to tie the record set by Phil Mickelson, who racked up his 21st loss Friday afternoon.

Bryson DeChambeau was Woods’ 14th different playing partner in Ryder Cup matches, and of those 14, he has a winning record with only two: Chris Riley (1-0) and Davis Love III (2-1).

The 14-time major champion hasn’t won a Ryder Cup match since 2010.

Woods dropped to 0-3 against Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood, teaming up with Patrick Reed for the first two.

His singles record, on the other hand, is incredible at 4-1-2. He’ll look to improve on that record tomorrow on the final day of the competition as the United States attempts to win its first Ryder Cup on foreign soil since 1993.
