The Saints are back to being the 'Aints. The Giants won't have their all star receiver for a couple of games. I always figure the little twit who owns the Redskins has the team screwed up.

I guess my teams will be whoever is playing Dallas.

Good show! Lots of people think the pre-season doesn't mean much, but even if I believed that, I think that most would agree that winning is better than losing, and being able to make assessments at the same time, better still.

The Steelers pulled another one out late and went 3-1. I'll take it. I did see some good stuff and am ready for the start of the season.

GO STEELERS!!!

Good luck to the Seahawks and Robbie. May we get to root against each other in the Super Bowl.

GO STEELERS!

Yes, three out of four is just fine, and does give you a lot of good anticipation for the regular season.

Super Bowl, here we come!

Re: Sports Scoreboard

Ok, sports fans, especially you folks who follow the NFL. I've taken a few years off from football, but I started to get back into again when I was in Florida. Hell, you can't AVOID football there! So, I was surprised a week or so ago to hear on an sports radio talk show that it's the 3rd pre-season game of the year that's apt to be most indicative of how a team will pay in the regular season.

Briefly put, the theory is: Game One is all about the untested players, Game Two is about putting a few starters in to give them a little time (but not too much), Game Three is about mixing up the starters with the untested players you liked from Games One and Two, and Game Four is one last look at the youngsters you're apt to take into the regular season.

Any thoughts?

I think so too. The Steelers lost game three, but I was impressed with some of the new talent they have. I feel good about the Steelers chances, but I can see the rationale of that observation. We shall see.

GO STEELERS!!!

Brick, it's the end of the third quarter and 'Bama has just had its way with the 'Noles for the entire time. I'm afraid I'm a jinx, so I'm going to bail and let you cheer them on to victory.

GO 'NOLES!

I'm trying, but, the 'Noles offense took the second half off, credit to Alabama's defense and their ability to cash in on FSU's mistakes. Still:

GO 'NOLES!!!

Oh well, another interception. I think I'm going to call it a night. Early fishing trip in the morning.

Ole Miss 47 S. Alabama 27.

New coaches. We can throw it and catch it. Not so much on defense.

I'm confused, Cooter. Alabama played FSU Saturday night. What game are you reporting?

And to add injury to insult, the'Noles lost their QB near the end of the game. Ouch is right.

Oh, no! I thought when I left at the end of the third quarter things would get better!

Back from my sojourn to the mountains, staying an extra day just because I could!

The Friday night game in Denver Broncos stadium between University of Colorado and Colorado State University was really unimpressive. Neither team showed any spark. My Buffaloes got a W, but only because they were playing not to lose, not because they were playing to win. Neither team even scored in the second half.

This Saturday we play Texas State here in Boulder. I have no clue how good this Texas team is, but I never count any team from Texas out of the game until it's over.
