Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots yesterday, 18 - 12 -- without scoring a touchdown!

Good thing we have a great field-goal kicker!

Sorry for your loss, Badhorsie. Your Tom Brady and The Gronk won in Tampa Bay, though.

Yep. A dear friend in SF is actually a Dodgers fan, so for her sake, I will root for LA. Don't get used to me doing that, however.

I've always liked that the Rays play in a stadium that looks like a crashed flying saucer.

Thank you for your graciousness, Susie. I have given up on the Pats for this year, so good luck to your Broncos, and everyone else's teams. It takes Covid and a new QB who can't practice to give everyone else a chance. emoticon

I know Sunday Night Football is a big honor, and all that, but it occurs during my dinner time and one of Jackson's outside walks.

Seahawks at Cardinals Moved To Sunday Night Football

The NFL announced Thursday that this weekend’s game at Arizona has been moved to Sunday Night Football.

Oct 22, 2020 at 01:16 PM
John Boyle Seahawks.com Reporter

For the third time in six games, the Seahawks will play in prime time on Sunday Night Football.

The NFL announced Thursday that Seattle's Week 7 game at Arizona has been moved from the 1:05 p.m. time slot to 5:20 p.m., and will be televised on NBC.

Tampa Bay at Las Vegas was originally scheduled as the Sunday night game, but has been moved to the afternoon slot, "out of an abundance of caution to ensure that a game would be available for fans on Sunday Night Football." The league says it still expects the Buccaneers-Raiders game to be played Sunday, but the Raiders have recently placed offensive lineman Trent Brown and defensive back Damon Arnette on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and Raiders coach Jon Gruden said Wednesday his entire starting offensive line was sent home this week having been exposed to Brown.

The Seahawks will now have gone six games while only playing once in the afternoon (1:05/1:25 p.m.) time slot that is usually their most common kickoff time. The Seahawks hosted Dallas in that time slot in Week 3, but their other two home games were on Sunday night, and their two road games have both kicked of at 10 a.m. PT.

Saints are minus their two best receivers. I guess they're just bit by the injury and COVID bug this year.

So I get the !@#$ Cowboys. If I could get the Tupelo FOX station I could get the Saints.

But, I've got Titans/Steelers which I will enjoy. I have Ole Miss players on both teams. Mike Helton on the Steelers and A. J. Brown on the Titans. I really can't pull for either, but in spite of my post in The RR I can maybe lean a little toward the Steelers for Brick.

I hope it’s a good game. Ending with a Steeler win, of course. 🙂

We interrupt your football viewing pleasure to show you the remarkable, unlikely and complete amazing ending to last night's Game 4 of the World Series.

To set the scene, the Rays are down to their final out with two men on base and Brett Phillips is at bat. The first thing you will see is Philips lay off a pitch that appears it might well have been outside the strike zone. But, the umpire calls it a strike, leaving Phillips and the Rays just one strike away from losing the game.

And then this happens.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled NFL broadcast.

WOW!!!

The Texas race is in delay because of misting. Nothing on the radar; just keeps causing cars to slide into the walls. So we're at red flag for a bit....

What a finish, Peter! I was an avid baseball fan until the time I went into the Air Force. After the Air Force came the Hippie revolution and all that involved *g* and several baseball strikes After which I pretty much lost interest Not completely, but I’m not a fan any more. But I get it. I watched transfixed by every pitch of Yankee Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 series against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Yogi’s charging the mound, jumping and wrapping arms and legs around the lanky Larsen to start the mayhem is etched in my memory. I was one thrilled ten year old, died in the wool Yankee fan.

Much too close. I got my wish though, a competitive game with the Steelers coming out on top. But yes, much too close.
