Re: Sports Scoreboard
Congratulations, Robbie. People say the pre-season doesn't mean much, but as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather see my team win than lose every game.
GO SEAHAWKS!!!
The Steelers play tomorrow. I think it's televised here. If it is, I'll be watching. If not, I'll catch it on the NFL replays of the games. In either case, GO STEELERS!!!

Re: Sports Scoreboard
I generally hate single color unis, but I like Seattle's as long as they're going to have one.

Thanks, Robbie. The Steelers are 2-0 preseason. Unusually good for them. I know it doesn't mean anything, but I like it.

Cooter, I haven't been able to watch the last several races, but I've jumped all the way up to 43rd out of 65 fantasy teams. Woohoo! How are you doing?

Re: Sports Scoreboard
I had five of the top eleven with around 70 laps left. Then Stennhouse, Jr. got a speeding penalty and Chase got wrecked. I still wound up with a good race. I had Kyle Bush, Jimmy Johnson and Jaimie McMurray. I'm moving back up, but that zero killed me.

There's college football tomorrow, so that's what I'll be watching. I've got to line up some weekend football fare.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
I'm back up to the 64% even after that zero when they screwed me. I'm fairly proud of that, considering all of the wrecks my drivers have been in and speeding penalties and mechanical failures. I've had a lot of all of those.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
The Steelers lost last night but I was encouraged by the play of Landry Jones. It was his best performance as a back-up over the years. Up to now I haven't been a fan of his, but there are some prospects nipping at his heels this season. Sometimes fear is the motivating factor that leads a good player to turn the corner and play up to his potential. Truthfully, I would have traded him years ago. First I hope Ben will stay healthy and we won't need him(Landry Jones). Or second, I hope that he proves my impulse to trade him to be wrong.
GO STEELERS!!!

Re: Sports Scoreboard
I saw the final score, Brick, and was sorry for the outcome. Still, the Steelers didn't suffer a blowout and it sounds like you found encouraging aspects of their performance.
GO STEELERS!

Re: Sports Scoreboard
Broncos beat Green Bay last night, but just barely. I'm always conflicted when I watch the Broncos vs. the Packers because Mr. Queue met Aaron Rogers when he was the QB for the Cal Bears, for whom Mr. Queue did pro bono advertising campaigns. Plus, Mason Crosby was a CU graduate, and now Ed McCaffrey's son Christian is a Packer.
Still, I gotta cheer on my Broncos! I just hope they get the kinks worked out on the starting QB decision. For now it's Trevor, but Paxton is looking good on occasion.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
My Seahawks aren't playing your Broncos or Brick's Steelers in the regular season this year (maybe in the post season), so I'll root for both teams until it's time to growl at each other.
