A reporter asked if he meant looters.

“Yeah, people, they’re not going to come to the AR-15 home,” Graham responded. “Well, I think if you show up on the porch with an AR-15, they’ll probably go down the street.”

!@#$ moron.

Yeah, and the position he takes has nothing to do with the millions he takes from the NRA. He’s not only a moron, he’s a greedy self serving chameleon, willing to change colors when fear of losing what he has sets in.

We're now up to FIVE separate incidents of students taking guns to high schools in the Indianapolis area.... Thank heavens, every time, someone who knew said something before they were able to use them....

Yes.... VERY disconcerting.

But this just emphasizes HOW important the culture of the school is.... If students feel free to talk to administrators and school resource officers, they're more likely to be able to stop these shootings and solve problems at their beginnings....

The kids are alright...

March for Our Lives launches gun control plan to spur 2020 youth vote

They're pissed and the DEM and GOP leadership ignore them at their own peril.

Andrew has been working with a variety of colleges as part of his former and current jobs, and he says the Illinois college students are on fire to vote.

How smart are they? The Young Democrats clubs are going out to every rally, every town hall, anywhere people meet. They're taking their laptop computers, on which they call up the voter registration website. They're having people register on the spot. That's the first part of the battle to get out the vote.

Well, Indiana's Red Flag law has already made a difference here in our county.

Last week, a 12-year-old boy was making threats to shoot up his middle school. Staff members called the police, who talked to the father. Police asked the father to lock up any guns he had at home so the boy couldn't get to them, and the father agreed.

Several days later, police went back to the father's home with a warrant, to see if he had actually locked up the guns.

Nope.

There were "numerous firearms" -- long rifles, handguns, and shotguns scattered all over the residence -- including the boy's bedroom.

So now the police have confiscated ALL of the guns. In a preliminary hearing, the judge agreed that there was a dangerous situation and ordered all of the guns held by police until December, when the next hearing will be held. At that hearing, the judge will determine whether there is still a dangerous situation and the guns will be destroyed, or the father will get the guns back.

(CNN) - NASCAR shocks gun industry as it appears to block some firearm ads

NASCAR rejected advertisements for its souvenir programs from multiple firearms companies earlier this summer as part of what is being seen as a "gradual shift" in its position on guns.

The move may be another example of how major companies are adjusting as the nation grapples with guns in America.

While the move did not get widespread notice, NASCAR'S apparent shift stunned gun enthusiasts who said there is a large overlap between NASCAR fans and gun owners, and left some in the firearms industry questioning why NASCAR's viewpoint has shifted and where the racing organization now stands on Second Amendment issues.

"They've got the drivers shooting off blanks in the winner's circle. It doesn't make any sense," David Dolbee, the general manager for K-Var Corp., a large distributor of firearms, which submitted an advertisement that was rejected featuring an AK-47 and various accessories.

After a third-party advertising vendor solicited ads for an official NASCAR program earlier this year, the vendor followed up with gun companies in August to inform them NASCAR had rejected advertisements that depicted "assault-style rifles/sniper rifles."

The advertising vendor, National Event Publications, sent an email to some gun companies saying, "We just heard from NASCAR on a number of gun related ads and unfortunately, due to a gradual shift in NASCAR's position on guns, these ads must be edited/changed — especially those that are depicted as assault-style rifles/sniper rifles. NASCAR is still open to some of the less controversial gun accessories, concealed carry, or classes."

This is what too many of our kids are thinking about in the new school year. It's from Sandy Hook Promise and grows more emotional as it goes.

I saw this earlier today and was dumbfounded that conservatives take issue with it. I have no idea what they think is incorrect in it.

(NBC News) - Congress tallied the human and economic toll of gun violence in America. The cost is staggering.

Gun violence hits America's youth and rural states the hardest and has reached the highest levels in decades, a report released Wednesday by Democrats on Congress' Joint Economic Committee found.

In 2017, nearly 40,000 people died from gun-related injuries, including 2,500 school children, making it the first time firearms killed more people than motor vehicle accidents, the report said.

Well, HERE is some good news!

(CNN) - Colt will stop making AR-15 rifles for consumers

Colt, the manufacturer of the AR-15 rifle, has announced it's exiting the consumer rifle market as demand for high-powered, semi-automatic guns wanes.

The consumer market for rifles has "experienced significant excess manufacturing capacity" and there's too much supply of AR-15 guns on the market to justify making more, the company said in a statement. Colt will still manufacture other consumer guns, including pistols and revolvers, and it will continue to expand its network of dealers.

Colt said its business remains healthy, buoyed by its numerous military and law enforcement contracts.

(CNN) - He sold illegal AR-15s. Feds agreed to let him go free to avoid hurting gun control efforts

For more than a year, Joseph Roh illegally manufactured AR-15-style rifles in a warehouse south of Los Angeles.

His customers, more than two dozen of whom were legally prohibited from possessing a firearm, could push a button, pull a lever, and walk away a short time later with a fully assembled, untraceable semi-automatic weapon for about $1,000, according to court records.

Roh continued his black-market operation despite being warned in person by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that he was breaking the law.

But five years after raiding his business and indicting him, federal authorities quietly cut a deal with Roh earlier this year and agreed to drop the charges.

Why?

The judge in the case had issued a tentative order that, in the eyes of prosecutors, threatened to upend the decades-old Gun Control Act and "seriously undermine the ATF's ability to trace and regulate firearms nationwide."

A case once touted by prosecutors as a crackdown on an illicit firearms factory was suddenly seen as having the potential to pave the way to unfettered access to one of the most demonized guns in America.

Federal authorities preferred to let Roh go free rather than have the ruling become final and potentially create case law that could have a crippling effect on the enforcement of gun laws, several sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
