Hola!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 34 and clear this morning headed for sixty-one.

Shadow is so ruint! She's already had a lot of attention this morning starting before I got up. I wanted to sleep in but the Dentist calls. I'll wait until tomorrow to go to the store although I could this afternoon. Just coming home and napping sounds like a winner!

Today's the day, Cooter! I hope that all goes well in your mouth.

48 this morning. Big round moon, which I learned from an e-mail this morning is a supermoon. Tomorrow there is a full moon, but today and tomorrow, the moon is closest that it gets to the earth, which accounts for why it was blasting me this morning. It's also called a worm moon, because it coincides with the equinox, when the worms come out, don't you know. Spring is springing. Do you all feel your sap rising?

Good morning, all. Belle took all the warmth, evidently, because it's 34F where I am. The skies are clear, though, and we're heading for a forecast high of 71F! Wow!

Like yesterday, I have no To Do List for today.

I hope all goes well for you today, Cooter.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Re: The Rumpus Room

Sunday afternoon saw us in our favourite pub for the free and easy music jam. Only rarely do I get up and play but as it Was St. Patrick's day the three of us had decided to have a bit of fun and get together to belt out two or three Irish songs. My wife Blanche decided we needed to dress the part and made us the waistcoats. She also christened us the Shamrockers (which I am pretty certain should be said as the Sham Rockers). In view of our ages perhaps the Geriatric headbangers might be more fitting. Anyway it was a great afternoon/evening of good humour and music.

That looks like fun, Joe!

I assume the surgery went well. I've got some more stitches in addition to the ones from the other time. They'll dissolve by themselves. The young ladies there like me because it doesn't bother me to go to the dentist and I think they enjoy chewing the fat some. I'm doing fine. I can have ice cream for supper, and I just bought butter pecan and double strawberry [sign in to see URL] sugar and low fat. That Blue Bunny stuff is good!!

If somebody has posted an image but just leaves that little square there, right click on it and click on open in another tab. Then you can right click on the URL, copy it and use the "insert image" tab here.

Cooter, when I couldn't see it it just said "Image" below the text on both joe's post and yours. There was no little square.

Oh, for heaven's sake. emoticon

It didn't show up in reply; just another broken little image box. But when I right-clicked on the image box and clicked "open in another tab," it just magically appeared in another tab without having to follow the rest of Cooter's instructions. WHOA! Now it's actually showing up in the posts! Weird.... I swear these computers are out to get us.... Anyway, here's for you, Belle:

Happy Vernal Equinox!

--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--

From the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis' site:

Today is the first day of spring and the Vernal Equinox! An old myth claims you can stand an egg on its end ONLY during the Vernal Equinox, when day and night are equal in length. Supposedly, this is because there is equal gravity between the Earth and the sun on that day. But that's a myth! In reality, you can stand an egg on end any day. Why?

On the bottom of an egg you will find tiny bumps in the shell. Those bumps are simply irregularities in the eggshell that hold the egg up (similar to legs).

I took the photo of the egg at the top a couple of years ago, a month before the Equinox. Still, I love the myth and do what I can to perpetuate it. "FAKE NEWS" . emoticon

Good morning, all. We have 37F under what will become sunny skies, heading for a high of 70F. What a lovely day to start the Vernal Equinox!

Lis and Belle, I'm so glad you can see the picture joe posted. And Belle, thanks for letting us know which one is joe. It's a handsome group!

Peter, I love the egg story. I hadn't heard that one, before.

Coffee, please, Tanya.
