After I got the meat out of freezer bag, I discovered that it's country backbone. They are usually boneless but some will have a bone. The meat is very good.

Sorry it's been a rough day, Cooter. I hope the country backbone makes up for it.

I'm good. I just made myself do some things that were bugging me and it was painful. I knew it would be so I managed. This particular meal is a favorite of mine. I'm going to have some wine, so I'm OK!

Yum, Cooter! I hope your wonderful dinner and the wine are helping to take the edge off. Congrats on working on that recycling!

I hope the chiro appointments continue to help, Robbie. Meanwhile, with Kudo leaving p-mail everywhere, hopefully she'll run out more quickly! emoticon

Kudo has a never-ending supply of responses she can leave to p-mail. Or, at least, she assumes the position. I suspect at times that her tank is empty.

Supper good, although I can't figure out why the peas get cold so quickly. Weird.

My legs are mad at me, and especially my right shin. My shins haven't hurt in a pretty good while, but they're making up for lost time.

Re: The Rumpus Room

My daughter-in-law's mother is dying. The doctors have told Lynne it's a matter of days. They've pumped her full of pain-killers and have said she won't be awake any longer.

Her mother, Judith, and I have totally opposing political beliefs. Knowing that, and loving our children, we've never discussed those beliefs. I've enjoyed Judith over the years because she has many fine attributes. I've hosted our kids and her at my house for dinners for many years after her husband, Lynne's dad, died. She's fun, and has a lively sense of humor. I'll miss her.

I'm sorry for Lynne and her sisters, but I hope they take comfort in knowing they've taken wonderful care of her since their dad died. Judith has been in assisted living for several years, and Lynne and her sisters have rotated spending weekends with her through all those years. I hope they all realize how loving and caring they've been.

We all hope not to be a burden on our children. We may not be able to escape that. Lynne and her sisters have done an admirable job of loving their mother and spreading the burden in order to make sure she knows her daughters love her.

I hope Judith passes into The Great Unknown with the comfort of her children's love.

And my respect.

A pot of strong, black coffee please Tanya.

Currently it is partly cloudy, 7*C (45*F), working to an afternoon high of 15*C (60*F) with a light breeze off the water.

Brick, i am pulling for you in your struggle with those inner demonss. Robbie i am glad to hearbthat time and your chittactor are have a positive impact on your back. Just dont overdo anything as you heal. lis, it is good to hear that those winds are subsiding. Someone needs to do you a favour and assasinate that damned ground hog in central Pennsylvania. Belle cong rats on the water filter.

There is not a great deal happening today. My visi9n has improved greatly over the past several days. So i believe i will test the waters by driving Into the city and heading downn to the docks t9 purchase some fresh seafood for tonights dinner. Then i need to work on my PT exercises and weight work. Got to keep up if i am going to whip this damned MS. I have to whip it , so it cannot whip me.

34 degrees, cloudy, and calm. I thought I saw one star this morning there between clouds; but it moved, so it must have been an airplane.

The water is much cleaner today than it was yesterday, so I can get on with the rest of my life.

Hawk, I like your attitude.

Buon giorno!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 34 and clear this AM headed for the low 60s and sunny.

Glad to hear that things have improved for Hawk. Let's hope that they continue to make life better for him.

I hope that Brick is feeling better and makes it in this morning.

My best wishes go out to Lynne, Dave, and Robbie. Having been fortunate to spend a bit of time with them I can attest that they are mighty fine people and I'm sure that Judy is too. Bless her and the rest of the family at this time.

I have struggled with that paragraph for some reason. I just have a hard time thinking of how to say things sometimes.

I have a great deal of respect for children who look after their aging parents and surround them with love and attention. For 20 years, my sister was a patients' advocate in Sacramento nursing homes and assisted living places. Her stories of children who not only neglect their parents but take advantage of their weakened state to try to relieve them of their life's savings are hair-raising.

It's good that your son married a woman like Lynne, Robbie.

Good morning, all. It's 28F at my house with clear (and soon to be sunny) skies, heading for a forecast high of 42. We still have some wind, but not that knife-right-through-you stuff we had yesterday. All in all it's a nice-looking day.

Thanks for the kind words about my son and daughter-in-law. I think they're pretty spectacular, too, but I could be biased.

Hawk, it's so nice to learn that your vision has improved. That must be a huge relief to you.

I'm going to try to treat myself to a pedicure today. My toenails need to be cut, and I can't yet bend over well enough to take care of them myself. Pretty good excuse for some pampering!

Brick, is it still good weather for morning walks?

Coffee, please, Tanya.

A couple of days ago I got that white hot stab between my shoulder blades. It's been a pretty good while since I've had that happen. It used to be somewhat regular, and I'd just have to take about 3 days or so off for it to get back to normal. I have felt just a small reminder this morning. I'm not going to do much after the oral surgery anyway, so it will get rest, etc.

When cats get riled up like this one is, anything on the floor can be a toy. She just stalked one of her pyramid toys with the little balls in it, and there went the rug.

Hello, everyone. Thanks to you all for your kind thoughts.

Robbie, the weather is still lovely. It has been a mild winter. We’re expecting rain over the next couple of days, but it will be welcome. Outside of the occasional rain, the weather is perfect for walking and other outdoor activities.

Yesterday was such a fine day that I walked solo on our off day and then went back to the park after PT just to enjoy the sunshine and the shade. It reached a high of 73. I almost walked another couple of miles but decided to read, smoke, and listen to tunes instead. The weather helps lighten the mood. I must say, I’m feeling better than I have in weeks. The sunshine, the salutary effects of the therapeutic massage, and the note from Lis are all nudging me in a positive direction.

Brick, I'm so sorry to hear about Judith. (My mom is a Judy, too.) What a testament to her children for their care, and your son for choosing such a wonderful bride.... I'm glad you're feeling nudges toward positivity. One day at a time. The walk in 73-degree sunshine sounds heavenly....

I hope your oral surgery will go well, Cooter. And you said that paragraph just right. emoticon

Belle, I'm so happy you're enjoying cleaner water! But I don't know about that moving star.... Maybe it was winking at you. *G*

Ooooooooo.... A pedicure, Robbie! I hope you'll enjoy it. I'm glad you've got better weather, too.

So happy you're enjoying improved vision, Hawk! You keep whipping it! emoticon

Had a very nice lunch with friends and now just one meeting this afternoon before I'm in for the rest of the day....

Brick, I have bright sunshine today, too, and it does lift the spirits! However, it's 34F at my house right now, not the 73F you're enjoying.

I hope my pedicure does me as much good as your therapeutic massage did.
