Good eveninig all. A snifter of Remy Martin XO please.

Weather: 7*C (47*F), clear skies and slight breeze out of the east. Not too bad for a February evening.

Today was uneventful other than the fact that i gave the good padre at San Giovanni Battista abthrell when i actually showed up with all the ladies of the family for early Mass.

Well, it’s 38F and cloudy, with a winter weather advisory in effect, possible rain this PM.

DH just commented on how few birds he sees in the back yard, with a goshawk living nearby.

I suppose I should do something constructive. I decided against going to the gym to give my aching muscle a rest.

Bonjour!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 33 feeling like 29 but we won't get any rain until tomorrow. I don't dare check the forecast for the week. Last week they were saying rain all week this week.

I must hit the grocery store today. I'm thinking maybe a steak tonight and salad.

Happy Presidents' Day! And good morning, all. We have 25F with broken clouds, heading for a high of 44F. We may get rain and snow showers late tonight. I hope the emphasis is on the rain part. I am thoroughly sick and tired of snow.

This morning I drove Kudo down to our local supermarket area because it has a little grassy area with a pergola on it so she could do her bidness. I still can't walk on my neighborhood sidewalk because so much of it is still compact snow and ice. Everywhere it melts during the day it freezes overnight. We're supposed to be the wet coast, not the white coast.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

I think we should celebrate Washington, who was our first President, and Lincoln, who saved the Union. Surely nobody is celebrating Millard Fillmore!

After Janet said my jeans were too big for me, I ran down some smaller ones and they fit great! It won't be that long before I have to find what I did with ones even another size smaller.

I had to lift Kudo into the car, then out of the car, then back into the car, then back out of the car this morning.

Then I did it all again for her 11:00 walk as I drove downhill a couple of blocks near a park entrance.

My back is now screaming at me. Dave had to come take her on her 3:00 walk and will have to do it again for her 7:00 walk. I've spent most of the afternoon on my back on the couch, and go OW, OW, OW any time I have to get up.

This getting old stuff sucks.

You're preaching to the choir, Miz. My legs have actually improved a great deal the last few days, but my right knee and lower back where the arthritis is have been killing me. I'm not getting much done.

Got a dental appointment in the AM to determine what my options may be because of some bone loss. I was hoping that I could get through the year without a big expense coming up for a change.

Buenos dias!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 33 and raining headed for the mid-forties and warming for the rest of the week so the rain will become boomers.

I may make some New England clam chowdah for supper. We'll see how I feel about that once I get back from the dentist and taking care of a few errands.

Good morning, all. We have 31F with overcast skies, and the forecast calls for rain and snow mixed later. The high should get to 38F.

My back is just screaming at me. I went to bed about 8:30 last night, hoping that a lot of hours of lying flat would help. It may have helped a little, but not very much.

It was clear to me that I can't lift Kudo to put her into the car and drive her to a place to do bidness. So I walked her. That was kind of an adventure and I could only go about five houses up the block before I got to one that hadn't been shoveled and had compact snow and ice all over it. Nope. So Kudo had an abbreviated walk and seemed very confused about it.

I think today will be spent lying on my back with the cold pack under me.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

I hope the cold pack takes away the pain, Robbie. Have you ever been to a chiropractor?

Robbie, i am so sorry to hear of your back problems. There is nothing in the world quitevas paiinful as a back issue. I will be thinking of you.

It is currently 7*C (45*F), and we have been socked in by fog al day.

Not to mch happening today I did have a PT appt in the morning. Then after lunch i had an occupational therapy appt. the PT in combination with the changes in meds are seeming to make progress. The OT is producing less noticeable results. As my fine motor skills continue to be a mess. But i continue to plug away.

I will have a glass of Pinot Grigio please.

Ouch, Robbie. I wondered what had happened. I hope your appointment will make all the difference....

Hawk, I'm glad you're seeing some improvement with your PT!

Glad you're doing better, too, Cooter.

Birdz, I hope your abdominal muscles feel better soon.

Any beautiful stars lately, Belle?

I've missed you all since last Thursday.... Had three appointments Friday, and then we drove to Schaumburg, IL, to pack and move Andrew to his new apartment in Springfield, IL. There were complications, as with any move, so our return was delayed from Sunday night to about this time yesterday afternoon. Andrew loves his new apartment (it is VERY nice) and his new job. Who could ask for anything more?

Meanwhile, I'm exhausted, everything hurts, and I still feel filthy from cleaning up the messes in his old apartment (they installed new electrical panels and spewed construction dust everywhere) and his new apartment (the previous tenants left the place a mess!). Even a shower and cutting off my nails didn't help. Maybe another long soak in the shower will help. emoticon

Needed to print off the programs I'd created for a banquet tonight, so Brett and I went to his church to get that done.... And got an email from the guy whose dissertation I'm editing -- sent me his last chapter and his six pages of single-spaced references. Needed them this morning. *ahem* I got his chapter back to him and just a very, very rough once-over of his references. (If you've had experience putting references into the exacting APA format, you know they must pay these APA people by the punctuation mark!) So I think it was about 3:30 this morning before I got to bed, and then back up at 10:00 for a meeting.... Another meeting in an hour, and then I'm going to sleep! emoticon

I've been wondering where you were, Lis. The board has Lis-shaped holes in it when you are away. I was hoping you were having a long physical and mental rest. (Silly thought!)

What is more tiring: cleaning up after construction or standardizing punctuation in references? I used to edit scholarly books, so I winced at your account of doing that.

No stars this morning, and it's a cloudy day, but the power is on and I'm reading a fascinating book about moral codes, so what's going on outside is of no importance.

!@#$.

My periodontist is a very nice young woman. She's explained things very well and the young woman who is one of the dental assistants is very nice and personable. I will be having 4 rounds of dental surgery starting next Tuesday. This will cost me $6 grand but it should allow me to keep my teeth for the future.

The weather got here and what started out as a promising day leg wise has gone to hell. I'm having to be extra careful because the amount of pain in my legs renders them slightly with a mind of their own.

Shadow and I did have a nice nap in the recliner. She was just rumbling while she was giving herself a bath in my lap. I've also played with her some. She loves to play anyway but chasing the pizza slice has become her very favorite thing in the world.
