I won't get my new recliner fixed until the 20th. The company that takes care of this local chain's repair work isn't in this area very often. When I get in the other recliner I get a lap cat.

Legs are better but the low back is enjoying kicking my ass. I just thought to get my back brace out to do supper with. It should help.

With every recliner, you get a lap cat? Cool!

Hope your back feels better, Jep.

Oh, man, sorry you’re aching, Cooter!

My back starts aching when I’m standing, filling the birds’ bowls with fresh pellets and water, and putting them in their “houses” (they all have large, macaw sized cages that give them plenty of room to clamber around in, except for Pele, who has a seizure disorder and has fallen off her perch; for her, a macaw sized travel cage gives her room but leaves her close enough to the bottom so she doesn’t fall far). Five minutes of standing, followed by a little bending over to deliver the goods, leaves me in pain.

Other than getting up, the legs have been worse. I wound up finding my back brace that I had forgotten about and put it on while I was fixing supper.

Just finished night time play time with Shadow. Cats are fast as hell!!

I used to always eat two grilled chicken thighs. I can only eat one now with a medium helping of sweet corn and one of butter peas. DD had gotten some Oreos, so I did eat two after supper while watching a movie.

Cooter, something I've thought many times but never remembered to say to you: even when DD isn't with you, you always take some care with meal planning. I find cooking for one to be uninspiring, but you manage to put together interesting meals.

I'm kinda in awe of you over that.

Hola!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 42 with scattered light rain which looks to be around through tomorrow. We'll get a high of 57 and a low of 51 today.

What I wrote in my last post wasn't what I [sign in to see URL]. What I meant to say was that the legs have been worse but it's still tough getting up.

Since Ms. Shadow insisted that I get up and pet her at 7 I guess I'll watch the news programs, or at least as much as I can take.

Good morning, all. We have 18F, heading for a high of 31F. It feels warmer than it did yesterday, though, because that knife-through-you wind is gone. The sky is clear, although by late afternoon it is expected to snow again. Snowstorm #3 is poised to hit us tomorrow.

Other than snow and cold, I don't know anything. I think I'll just sit over here by the fire and see what's going on.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Thanks. I actually like cooking. I did most of it when I was married because of Janet's work. The teaching job wound up being perfect for us because that gave me time to spend with our young kids and take care of stuff like meals. It's also easier when you're trying to lose weight.

Re: The Rumpus Room

Snowstorm #3 has begun. I didn't realize it until Kudo and I went out for the 3:00 walk, but itty-bitty snowflakes are coming down.

This snowstorm isn't supposed to amount to much. It's the one coming Monday-Tuesday (Snowstorm #4) that may be a big deal.

Then there's the one (Snowstorm #5) that is due in on Thursday that is currently unknown as to severity.

Ain't we got fun. emoticon

EDIT: And now it's snowing like crazy.

ANOTHER EDIT: And now they've updated the forecast to say we'll get 2 to 4 inches by morning. Then the Monday-Tuesday storm could bring up to another 5 to 8 inches. I wonder if we'll dig out by April.

Goodness.... Enough snow for you all! I'd guess we got a couple of inches.... It's supposed to be followed by freezing rain. Still waiting to see if that's going to happen....

Had our winter party for 24 club members tonight.... Absolutely exhausted....

NASCAR was back today. Made me very happy. emoticon

No doubt this is a silly question, but, is there any chance you'll go to bed?
