32F and cloudy here. I was going to go shopping yesterday but DH needed the car to take some packages to UPS. He has bought some porch lamps but found they were too big to install - not enough clearance with the brick wall. He was returning them and ordered smaller lamps.
So today I hope to do some grocery shopping. I’ll skip going to the yarn store because I know I’ll succumb to temptation to buy more much unneeded yarn.
Re: Hola! Good morning, all. It’s around 65 degrees right now headed to 75 before the rain. We’re expecting rain from tonight through tomorrow morning and then a bit of a cold front. I have my lights ready to hang but I’ve decided to put them up after the rains tomorrow.
I got the starter for the truck. When I brought in the core I had it tested and it was bad. There is always a possibility it could have been something other than the starter causing the problem so there was some relief. I’ll work in putting it in and doing the decorations over the course of the next couple of days. As for today, I’ve done all I intend to do. Today is Sean’s and my birthday. I’m 72 years old today, Sean is 47.
Re: The Rumpus Room I don’t recall how Hilzenrath initially got in touch with me, but we spent a good deal of time on the phone the day after the election, discussing how the Interwebs had functioned/malfunctioned the night before. I think he had posted a message on the boards prior to the election, asking if folks would be willing to comment on the experiences after all the votes had been counted.
On the afternoon of the 10th, I got a message from Sherrie with a link to the story in the Post. The plot for Star’s candidacy for 2000 was hatched shortly thereafter!

The first Whirlpool in the ratings isn't a recommended buy. The LGs dominate the upper part of the ratings. I suspect all of them sit on the base and it is probably the same size for all, but I don't know that. There are some for under $1000.
Re: The Rumpus Room Good evening fellow travelers. Iit is currently 6*C (41 or 42*F), clear skies - at least i can see the moon and stars. And a light breeze coming in off the mountains. Typical early December evening.
Happy Birthday Brick. Hope you havd a great day.
As a follow up to the conversation Belle and Birdz had about feeling better when they walked away from the highly political boards, even if those abbsences were temporary. Those like Belle who have known me over the years, are familiar with the fact that i have a long standing history of coming and going on these boards. Occasionally my absence will be short lived. On other occasions i have been gone for as long as a year. The vitriole found on some of the boards is just more than i can tolerate. I have lasted longer on The Time Zone than on most boards. But this is due to the civility and congeniality of the board. A congeniality that is enhanced in no small measure by ythe rather homogeneous politics of the members. While a couple of the members are more liberal than others. And Cooter and I are a bit more conservative (librertaruan actually), we all do seem to reach a consesus on key elements. Enough of that.
Well ive been on to other things. But maybe now i can finish this epistle.
Probably have to wait until later as we have a late dinner reservation to help my son in law celebrate the fact that my brother and brother in law have made him a full partner in the family business. As Becky says now we willl never get my daughter and her family to ever leave this place. As i told Becky there are worse places to live. Just check the weather forecast for Winneshiek County, iowa for starters.
