Guten Morgen!

It's 73 with probable heavy rain on the way. I think we missed the bad stuff that I drove back in last night. I drove around 40 MPH some of the time because of heavy rain and water on the road.

I've got to figure out what to do for food today other than my Sunday breakfast. Whatever I do will not be time consuming because of football.

Good morning, all. We have 57F under mostly cloudy skies, heading for a high of 68F and rain. It rained a fair amount last night, and all the vegetation is simply thrilled!

It's the first day of the regular season for us football fans, although I'm less excited this year than I am most years. I don't expect much out of the Seahawks and today I think Susie's Broncos will stomp all over us.

It's Sunday, so laundry is underway. This is sheet-change weekend (the alternating weekend is towel-change) and I never look forward to having to fold up the sheets once they come out of the dryer. Talk about third-world problems...

Coffee, please, Tanya.

I have a load to fold, and with my legs like they are I think I'll put off changing the bed until tomorrow and hope for better weather.

Good morning, all. It’s a nice Sunday morning and it will be a day of rest. Sandy is doing some grocery shopping which I the only thing on our list for today. After she gets back we’ll settle in for some football watching. The Steelers aren’t televised here so I’ll be watching Red Zone.

We’ll have leftovers for dinner, chicken and spaghetti with a salad on the side. I’m planning on a light lunch. We have some wonderful melons in the fridge, cantaloupe and honeydew, maybe with a few slices of Genoa salami. I don’t have any prosciutto, but the salami will do. 🙂

Enjoy the day, everyone

All right, everything has been washed, dried, folded, hung up, and put away.

Bring on the football games!

Janet had some great fried chicken from a grocery store down the way. Too much.....lol. I ate more than I'm supposed to, but only brought home broccoli.

I didn't want to cook but I was sure I had some leftover gumbo in the freezer. Sure enough!! Bubba strikes again!

It is 12:45 pm and time for a quick lunch. Therefore i will have a glass of Terrano to go along with my prosciutto, mozzarella, and bread please. Terrano (Teran in Slovene) is that spicy, highly acidic red wine that is unique to the Karst upland along the Italian - Slovenian border.

Current weather — 27C (81F), sunny with an ever so slight breeze of the water. Forecast for more of the same for the next few days.

Today as we were finishing up our discussion of the age of the earth and the formation of the continents, one young man asked me if i didnt believe the Biblical story of creation, what kind of American am I? To which i replied as an American i am an Italian National who was born and raised in Duino-Aurisina, attended prep school in Switzerland and the US prior to recieving degrees from two world-class universities (Chicago and Northwestern). And in any f,event, not all Americans accept the creationist view of the earth’s evolution. Now it is on to climate and an entirely new can of worms. lol.

Good morning, all. We have 55F under mostly cloudy skies, heading for a high of 66F and probable rain showers.

Hawk, does your student think that all (or most) Americans believe in the Biblical story of creation? I just did a quick look on Google which says 38% of Americans believe in the literal version of Biblical creation. That's still an amazingly high number, but it's only a bit more than one third.

Today I need to make a run to the snooty dog supply store (the store is snooty, not the dog) to get stuff for Kudo. (Come to think of it, Kudo is snooty. Oh well.)

And Birdz gets free today!

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Mornin’, folks. It’s a lovely September morning here in sunny Florida. Sandy is at an appointment with the orthopedic doctor who did her hip replacement. It is a long range follow up but I’m sure he’ll be checking out the arthritis in the other one. Other than that I will pick up the truck this afternoon to complete today’s to do list.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Buon giorno!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 64 with highs in the high seventies today with clear skies. I'm hip!

I enjoy hearing about Hawk's class and what he eats. Their diet is so different from ours and we'd be more healthy if we followed theirs. Think about it though, bread, cheese, and ham equals a ham sandwich.....lol. I don't have the wine with lunch, though.

Today is better so far. I used my cane to get coffee and feed Shadow, but it didn't feel as though I had to have it. Still, I'll take no chances unless I'm feeling pretty normal.

Good morning, everyone. I’m home at last! DH picked me up from rehab, then drove me to the infusion center for my daily fix. On the way home, we stopped off at Harris Teeter to get a loaf of the whole grain bread I’ve been dreaming about for the past couple of weeks, when I was getting that hideous stuff that’s square shaped.

I finally had a breakfast of whole grain toast with cream cheese, and a decent cup of coffee for a change. I’m in heaven.

Medicare requires that I remain “home bound” - no going out except for church and medical appointments - for them to cover the home health care I’m to receive. So no quilt guild meeting or volunteer work for now. I can’t even go out for a much needed haircut.

Cooter - you’re wise not to push it.

I am so pleased to hear you are home, Birdz! Do you know of any hairdressers who will come to your home for a haircut? Please go easy on yourself.

No real news from Casa Queue. I've got a newspaper article due Wednesday, and then starting on Friday, I will be "puppy-sitting" for my grand-puppy Bella, the Abracadabrador (a magical mix of Labrador retriever and God-knows-what), while our first-born and spouse take off to Wyoming for a camping weekend before the weather turns too cold for such adventures.

I have my cousin's daughter-in-law coming over to watch the dog while Mr. Queue and I attend the Buff's first home game, against New Hampshire, on Saturday.

I love Abracabrador, too! My favorite name for an individual dog is Johann Sebastian Bark.

60 degrees here, cloudy (but with breaks in the clouds), and breezy. In town, it was sunny among the clouds. I got four C batteries for my cat feeder, which came yesterday. Wish me lucky in programming it. If it works, maybe I can get some sleep during Isabella's night feeding. But maybe not. She starts romping on me an hour before her feeding is due. One can but hope.

Yes! It's a bit filtered through the patchy clouds, but we have some.

I love that name also. My friends when I was at Ole Miss got a dog named Hamlet. He was an English major, so when I got a cat he had to be Beethoven.

Shadow has woken me up early when I forgot to leave food out for her. She does jump on me and meow in the AM...generally not too early.....and will curl up in my lap if I'm not inclined to get up, which I'm usually not. If she wants some attention, it's difficult to doze back off......lol.
