Upchuck! How nice to see you!

Good luck with the voluntary layoff/retirement. I hope they'll take you up on it this time.

Give my greetings to the Other Chuck, and to Mrs Chuck, please.

Man, you got that! I've made several trips back to the old board. I have no idea where my administrative tools went, but I can't find them. I've read some of the how-to stuff in the administrative area, and it might as well have been written in Interplanetary Esperanto. Truly, I have no idea what much of it says.

When we started it was called EZ Boards, and it was. When Yuku took over it wasn't a lot different, except that they were victims of their own success in that it got too big for them to manage.

And now it's Tapatalk, using modern technology. I got off the technology train a while back and have no idea how to deal with their new, improved board.

Thanks you again, Cooter, for pointing out this forum host.

Sometimes old farts are better than newbies. New technology isn't always better. EZ Board and Yuku actually worked pretty well. I have no idea why the morons with Tapatalk think that their product rises above an open septic tank.

Because they're 20something and think everyone understands their lingo.

They, on the other hand, would dismiss me as a 70something who doesn't need to be noticed.

Good morning

I had a bit of an off day yesterday. I had indigestion from the moment I woke up. Nothing I tried helped. I did manage to do yard work, but once I finished that I was done for the day and evening. It finally relented just before we went to bed. It was probably just a stomach bug, but whatever it was, I'm glad it's gone.

Coffee, please, Tanya. I'm glad that I am starting to enjoy my morning coffee again.

Poured coffee down my throat and now it's time to hit the first of two farmer's markets to shop for fresh veggies!

I know it's a simple pleasure, but as many have observed, I'm a simple lad.

Good morning, all. We have 60 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, heading for a high of 69. It really is autumn, now.

I'm going to lunch at my Canadian friends' house. This is perfect driving weather -- no blinding sun in my eyes.

Brick, I'm pleased you can enjoy coffee again. These seem like such little things until they're gone.

Peter, I like farmers' markets, too. We have a Wednesday market and a Saturday market in different parts of town.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Guten Morgen

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 77 and sunny headed back for the 90s with the usual threat of a late afternoon boomer. I'm attempting my first pot roast in my new slow cooker. I've already made on little error, but I don't think it will make any difference.

Kitty is happy, and I'm not too bad for not being through with my first cup of coffee. This new keyboard is good for me, because it's slightly different and I'm having to go slower which leads to fewer mistakes. My hands just aren't what they used to be, either. Hopefully some surgery will alleviate those issues.

We have four farmer's markets here, open at different times. I mostly buy my produce at my grocery store because it's just more convenient, and they buy some from local farmers when they can.

More coffee, Tanya, please. I just emailed my personal trainer to ask to reschedule my Monday personal training session so I can view the eclipse. That should guarantee cloud cover! I bought eclipse glasses from Amazon, and later got an email from them saying that they had discovered that they were knockoffs and not to use them. They refunded my purchase, but now I'm without eclipse glasses. I tried to get in on a group purchase locally but missed out. Guess I'll have to do the old pinhole trick.

Speaking of snacking in the suburbs, well, this being a PFZ, I won't get into the details of the local politics of this little town of 5000, but the politics can get mighty nasssss-teeee here!

I don't know. I've been reading this woman for years, and she's been a riot at times.

I didn't mean "snacking" in the suburbs. I meant "snaRking." Damned autocorrect!

I'm back from lunch with my Canadian friends. The husband is the chef of the house, and he always puts on something wonderful. Today it was fresh Pacific salmon, done on the grill, with sides of new potatoes and tossed green salad, and an apple tort-ish dessert. I shouldn't need to eat for a week, but I suspect I will.

So, MsRobbie, you're a knitter? So am I. Been working on an Afghan right now. Are you on Ravelry? I have an account, but I mostly use it to find patterns.

Miz, that sounds like a wonderful lunch. We had the salmon and salad last night, and it was really good with this salmon rub that I tried out. I smoked it for about 3 hours at around 170.

Hola!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 77 and sunny going for the low 90s here at the farm. I'm having mold issues on my tomatoes, and I can't figure that one out. The peppers and lettuce are doing very well. We pulled a purple pepper and ate it yesterday.....small one....and it was very sweet!

For supper, I'm thawing out some country backbone for the smoker, and will have sweet potatoes and some little field peas with snaps to go with.
