Did you read that smack down they had? Diane ended up telling ERB that she really cared for her. I threw up.

I think so, too, given that you posted this in the Russia investigations thread. emoticon

Morning, Rumpions:

57 degrees and calm, with a pink streak across the sky in the west. It's supposed to be sunny today.

I read your thread on YAP, Cooter, about giving up moderating. From the responses, I concluded that even the people who don't like you, like you. How do you do that?

Is TimeZone the antidote to YAP?

Good morning, all. And happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers out there. We have no plans to speak of. I’m planning on smoking a roast beef over mesquite to be eaten with baked potatoes, asparagus, and a salad today, then slicing the leftover beef thin and make green chile burritos with it. It looks like the weather will cooperate.

My brothers and I are walking this morning. After that I expect to hear from the kids who will be celebrating their Father’s Day with their kids. It should be a laid back day.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Congrats on the mani/pedi, Belle.

Thanks, Brick. I'm enjoying my trimmed claws this morning.

I was just reading on another board that when a man becomes a father, he gets a hormone that makes him as maternal as a woman. Having had a doting father and a husband who doted on his children, I can believe that. Are you guys on the board maternal?

Hmmm. I’m not sure. I don’t think I dote, but I think one of the hardest things for us to do is observe ourselves objectively. I’ll have to ask Sandy and the kids. I’d trust their conclusions about me over mine. 😎

Good morning, all. It's 57F with blue skies and sunshine, heading for a high of 80F. That is outside the Goldilocks zone.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads, grandpas, uncles, big brothers, and anyone else who looked out for kids. I hope you have a wonderful day!

I'm going to visit my Canadian friends today for lunch. I always enjoy being with them.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Hola!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 81 headed for 87 [sign in to see URL] only a small chance of showers. There are a few on the radar, but they're small and scattered.

Shadow tried to get me up for a couple of hours or so without success, and when I was considering getting up she plopped down in my lap. I had to stay in bed and scratch her neck for a little bit.

I've dumped the ice bucket so will start using ice from the fridge now. It may not be until late afternoon because this thing isn't very fast at all.

I guess that I always have doted on my kids. I've spent a lot of quality time with them individually and collectively. That's part of being a parent. We're very close.

62 degrees, sunny, with a slight breeze. The sky is solid blue except from some ghost clouds in the west that are barely there. I took a 39-minute walk down to Richardson Court.

At the end of one of our streets, a dirt trail goes off to the north. It's winding and rocky and hilly. It ends at Richardson Court, which leads down to the highway.

Just past a gate near the entrance of the trail is a grassy trail that goes off to the left and goes around to the right to get onto the dirt trail a short distance from where the grassy trail starts. But another branch of the grassy trail goes off into the distance. I had never before seen where that trail went, so I followed it today, wondering where it would come out on the dirt trail.

It didn't. It came out on Richardson Court. It is a much more pleasant walk to Richardson Court than the dirt trail. In places you beat your way through high grass, but you see the trail beneath your feet all the way, so you know it goes somewhere.

Are you all feeling adventurous today? I'm feeling adventurous.

I'm watching the golf tournament. I couldn't follow a trail from here down the street very far anyway. My trail days are done for. I'm putting off going to Kroger until tomorrow because the legs just aren't having a very good day. I'll manage here at The Spread.

Well i am relaxing a bit. As we have everything in order. And are ready for George and Lisa to take us to Chicago tomorrow to catch the big bird to Europe.

We have everything moved either to the house in towm or moved to Trieste. Yesterday when we gave the keys to the house and garage at the farm to George’s daughter and son in law i thought Becky was going to break dowm. Nut after we went into town she told me that the tears were for the 28years of memories. But now our children are spread from cloudcroft, New Mexivo to Trieste, Italy and Graz, Austria. And it was time to turn the farms over to a new family to build their own memories. And then shetold me “è ora di andare a casa.”

Please excuse my ignorance. But whar is YAP?

For heaven's sake....

It has been a quiet day....

Mom is having a bad pain day, so she has stayed in bed, sleeping....

Brett went to church, got lunch, and then came home to nap all afternoon....

I have been up for the last five hours, reading and editing Brett's Aunt's novel. (It continues to be quite good!)

About five minutes ago, I was startled by the sound of a sneeze. It wasn't just ANY sneeze. It was an ANDREW sneeze! Huh? I listened, thinking it was Brett out in the living room, and I was imagining it. No, there was ANOTHER sneeze -- and it was most DEFINITELY an Andrew sneeze. So I hurried out to the living room, expecting that Andrew had made another surprise trip home.

But there was no Andrew. It was just Brett, half-asleep, half-awake in his recliner, watching some old movie on TV. So I asked, "Did you sneeze?" He didn't hear me, so I asked again -- and he said no. Huh?

So I went back to my office and looked at that guest room door next to my office, still closed as usual. I knocked.... And a voice invited me in! Andrew IS here! LOL.... He got in about 6 am and has been sleeping all day. Little stinker! He has tomorrow off, too. What a COOL new employer, who wants her employees to be with their dads today! emoticon

I've heard of mothers that recognize their babies' crying voices, but a mother that recognizes her son's sneeze? That is real bonding.

I'm back from an enormous and delicious lunch with my Canadian friends.

There must be a lot of cross-border dads. The wait at the border for the unwashed was 55 minutes each way. Those of us with Nexus passes got through in 5 minutes.

I should never eat again.

It's still alive and quite active.

Sounds like The Miz had a great day! I enjoyed watching the U. S. Open in the recliner. I cooked breakfast and ate soup and Marie's for the rest of the meals.
