Wow, Susie. How scary! I'm so glad you're out of the evacuation zone, and I hope the firefighters will put this out as quickly as possible.

Hello, all. Happy football Sunday. I get a rare treat and get to watch the Steeler game. Go Steelers!

I got the sink done yesterday and we’re one step closer. I could finish what’s left today, but I decided to take the day off. Football had nothing to do with it. 🙂

I’m glad the danger has passed, Susie.

I hope the rest of you things are enjoying the day.

Iced tea, please, Tanya.

Yikes, Susie! Glad you’re ok. One of my HS classmates lives in Longmont. I hope she’s ok.

To celebrate Susie's good fortune I opened the other bottle of chardonnay that the store gave DD for me to try because they were out of Cupcake.

It's Line 39 and this stuff is very good@ I would try to describe it as smooth and kind of fruity. I like i8t!!!!

Line 39? Never heard of it. I may need to investigate.

It's windy and raining outside, so it must be getting late in October. It's also Monday, but I found something silly on the Interwebs that should take the sting out of the start of a new week.

Coffee please, Tanya and pour yourself something to fortify you this morning.

Re: The Rumpus Room II

Good morning, all. I’m happy to report that our cool mornings have returned. It’s a lovely morning.

I have an appointment with a new doctor today. My local GP has moved and has handed off the patients who choose not to follow her to a neighboring town, about twenty miles from here, to a new doctor. He’s been practicing locally for some time but neither Sandy nor I know anything about him. We shall see.

I’m doing the groundwork to set up for an efficient day tomorrow. All of the prep work will be done today.

I hope all you things are resting well and ready for a new, reasonably pain free day.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Luck with your new doctor, Brick.

Prep work is everything. It's so frustrating to come to a next step and have to stop and do something else before you can take it.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

It's now 67 headed for 81 and mostly sunny. It was very nice when I went outside to pick up the paper at around eight.

That is hysterical, Peter!!

DD will be back today for a couple of days, then she will head back to Janet's until probably the middle of next week.

I've got some housework to tend to today. I hope that sore spot over my right hip will allow it. It's been a pain this morning. I have a load of laundry folded. All I have to do is put it up and start another load.

If she's in central Longmont, she should still be OK, Birdz. The fires are west of town, and did jump highway 36, which goes from Boulder north to Lyons (if you know where those towns are), but so far they've been able to stop them before reaching Hygiene or Longmont.

Another fire started yesterday in Left Hand Canyon, so they've evacuated several people up that way, including one of my college roommates who lives in Gold Hill. She is now staying with her son who lives just southeast of Boulder.

We're still fine for now.

The new doctor and I hit it off pretty well. It was a review of my health history and my most recent blood work. It was a good visit. I’ll see him again in six months. Thanks for the thought, Belle.

Thanks, Robbie. His take on the pandemic is spot on, which means that he and I agree. 🙂
