Badhorsie, I'm so sorry that walking any distance appears to be a thing of the past. Don't feel bad about complaining, though. We've all complained about far less.

I'm glad the smoke cleared before the Patriots come to Seattle to get their butts handed to them tomorrow night. I wouldn't want them to have smokey air as their excuse for losing. emoticon

Badhorsie, is a scooter an option for you? Just as a means of getting outside in the sun and fresh air and giving you some measure of mobility and even independence.

Aw, Badhorsie, please don't ever feel bad about sharing in here. We ALL do it at one time or another, and it feels good to have other people care and comfort us. I'm glad you're here. emoticon

And I would support use of a scooter! I have to use them in stores, and I even used one to get around Disneyworld. They make ALL the difference...

Zoom??? Us??? Oh, Birdz, that is a MARVELOUS idea!!! I am about as computer-stupid as a person can get, and *I* can use Zoom! emoticon Anybody interested in giving it a try? Birdz sounds like a fearless, experienced leader with her sewing group....

Uh oh.... I see Robbie trash talking again. Then again, I'd have to join her in wishing a Patriots loss.... *G*

Birdz, I heard from my friend a couple of hours ago, and she said the EXACT same thing you described. She had the sodium and potassium by IV overnight and kept her on the continuous EKG. Her numbers have come up just below normal range. They took her off of her diuretic and blood pressure meds and sent her home! For heaven's sake. She has to get more bloodwork in a couple of days to see if she's holding.... She sounds SO much better. She said, "I'm talking with my hands again, so I know I've got my energy back," LOL....

Lis, what encouraging news about your friend! I hope you've finally been able to exhale.

With respect to Zoom, I have nothing that can hear me or see me.

Darn, Robbie.... Does Runboard have some kind of chat function that you just type into, like we had on one of those other boards long ago?

I don't know of a chat function. I think there is just a private message option between two people.

The rest of you can Zoom. I don't need to be a party pooper for the entier board.

59 degrees here this morning when I walked around the house.

Are the stars out tonight? (*singing*) Yes! Just LOOK at them! They're everywhere!

I wanted Badhorsie to be there with me seeing them.

What a good measure of your energy level, Lis. You can tell it's coming back if you're talking with your hands. I don't talk with my hands, so I need a different measure. How do you all measure your energy level?

Good morning, all. I made an early morning run for non-ethanol gas for the yard equipment, a new battery for the truck, and bagels. 🙂 The battery lasted six years so I got more than my money’s worth with it.

Now Shiva and I are hanging out on the front porch. It’s quiet, the sky is overcast, and there is a hint of the cooler weather to come. I like it.

I wish you all a peaceful Sunday.

Coffee, please, Tanya. It looks like it will be a day of rest and football.

Good morning, all. We have 58F under fluffy, patchy clouds, heading for 67F and partly sunny skies. The AQI is 15. Isn't that a lovely number!?!

When we moved the big bookcases from the den into the knitting room we had to undo the wiring into the wall. Dave was going to wire them into the knitting room wall but his stud finder wasn't picking up any hints. Today he's coming over with a better one.

Other than that, it's football and knitting. And laundry, of course. This is Sunday, after all.

I hope all you things are starting the day well.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

It's 73 and mostly sunny with the predicted high of 79 a welcome sight.

I think that I have Zoom on my computer, but I don't have a mic or a camera. I do with my phone though and have "fireside chats" with my NP at Willow, the pain clinic. It's on my phone, not my computer. We use Google Duo which works well.

There were some outstanding games yesterday and the Power 5 fans who didn't watch them because their teams from those Conferences weren't playing aren't real fans. Same thing with the "meaningless" bowl games.

How 'bout them Seahawks!! Sorry, badhorsie!

I'm so happy to hear that Robbie and Belle have clearer air (and STARS!) and that Brick is feeling the cooler air.

It was my friend who said she was talking with her hands again. emoticon And she DEFINITELY does! I don't.... I'm not sure how I measure my energy level. I guess it's low when I fall asleep and high when I wake up, LOL....

Oh! Robbie and Cooter, Zoom also works on your cell phone! There are cameras and microphones there!

The trouble with having my useless leg is I can't do any aerobic exercise, which is mandatory to control COPD. So my breathing is worse too, and I have a lot of pain in the leg now too. I wonder if I have nerve damage.

But alas, my friends here still root against the Patriots providing a bright spot in my barren life. Ramundo, I will sit by myself here at the end of the bar and sulk. Pour me your most expensive libation and leave the bottle. Charge it to the Time Zone group and don't skimp on tipping yourself generously. And pull your mask up over your nose!

You may remember that I have never downloaded anything to my cell phone because I think they are evil.

The most spoiled child has left the Patriots.

Speaking of chat, if you look to the bottom right corner, there is a Chat feature on this site. It has settings where you can speak to everyone or just someone you select. It has a setting for sound. Maybe we should experiment with it.

Ramundo, I’ve always wanted to try Pappy Van Winkle. Bring badhorsie a shot too. I’m curious to know why it has the reputation it has.

Thanks, Brick. I looked it up. In the past, I've had Rock Hill Farms bourbon. Cost around $52/bottle. I only bought it because it came in a decanter with horses on it and I wanted the bottles, not because I'm a connoisseur of bourbon. I lost the bottles in the fire. And now I guess it's been discontinued, and a bottle of it goes for $300 to $500. I'm still looking to replace those empty bottles. But good bourbon is wasted on me. (And I've been wasted on good bourbon!)

I cook with bourbon a lot, much more than I drink it.

Badhorsie, your spoiled children played one helluva game! We didn't know until the very end, with two seconds on the clock and the Patriots about to run it in from the 2 yard line, who would win. The Seahawks managed to stop the run.

I have no fingernail left.

Bring Badhorsie a very expensive libation and put it on my tab.

I'll have some halfway decent chardonnay, please.

What a great game! I was nervous at the end, but the Hawks held on.

There are some writers who cover college football that say that "big boy football" starts this coming Saturday when the SEC starts up. Tombstone, I have 3 degrees from Ole Miss, the last one a JD in 1977, and I am die hard.

I personally am glad that the Big Ten is going to play and wish that the PAC 12 could work something out, but I'm not sure that they want to.
