I'll be darned. Your site is showing my AQI at 147, which is what mine says, too. I wonder why the Whidbey readings are so different from each other.

Coupeville is worse than Oak Harbor. I'm on the north end, closer to Anacortes than to Coupeville.

But the AQ for Oak Harbor is showing 55 now, so maybe I'd better close my windows again. The house smells so much better since they've been open for a few hours.

Well, that shows Bellingham at 129 and PurpleAir shows it at 126, so they're pretty close.

When it rains, it pours.

Now my best friend is in the hospital. Calcium and potassium are crashing. The cardiologists have her on an ongoing EKG and don't like the heartbeat they're seeing. They may do another heart cath tomorrow. (She just went through one last winter.) Several of her family members have died of heart aneurisms....

Good thoughts for her and for you, as well.

I'm so sorry, Lis. I hope that she pulls through OK.

Shadow has been super duper ruint today. I was sitting on the end of my bed and she was on my cedar chest at the end. I had bee stroking a lot and when I turned to put my shorts on my back got power rubbed.

She has been in my lap a lot and has meowed at DD to put her. They have this routine like we do at times.

3! My AQ is 3 this morning. The air is so fresh out there, I got drunk on it, even though it's cloudy and I couldn't see any stars. And it's a lovely, cool 58 degrees.

Sounds like you're the one that's ruint, Cooter. Shadow spoils you rotten.

Coffee, please, Tanya. (I almost wrote Shadow. LOL!!)

It's 57 and mostly sunny here at my quiet and comfy abode. The high will be...wait for it...seventy-eight! Although we will still have some relatively hot weather, this is a wonderful time of the year. Unfortunately, it's also the period in my area for violent weather.

It's another football Saturday!! Real football will start next Saturday when the SEC fires up. I'm actually glad to see the Big Ten deciding to play. I don't miss some of their games as a lot of their fans don't miss ours, especially. I'll have to start moving earlier to catch the ESPN College show. We start at eleven next week.

Speaking of.....I need to move!

Good morning, all. We have 60F with light clouds, heading for likely showers and 67F. It appears to have rained a little bit overnight and my AQI is at 27. Nice!

I hope I can knit today. My hands are a little grumpy this morning, so we'll see.

I hope all you things are doing well this morning, and especially Lis's friend.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Hello, all. I got up energized this morning. I had a short to do list for today and I attacked it. I can’t tell you all how happy I am that I can still manage these chores. There was a time when I doubted that I would regain the ability to do these things. But, by 10 this morning I completed the list. 😎 Now, the rest of the day is mine.

Lis, I’m sorry to hear about your friend, sending good thoughts your way.

Robbie and Belle, finally, good quality breathable air. It must be a welcome relief.

You all, stay safe.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Yay, Brick! I'm so glad you're back up to doing what you want. emoticon

Hooray for clearer air for Belle and Robbie!

I hope you'll enjoy your football today, Cooter.

I got a call from my friend this afternoon. She sounded good. She said she was being poked all night for blood tests. I was mistaken earlier when I said her calcium was down; it was her sodium and addition to her potassium. So they've been giving her those by IV. She said she's puffing up pretty badly, which makes sense. The cardiologist said she was in territory to have a bad heart attack, but didn't. SO grateful for that. So now they're evaluating to determine whether to do a heart cath tomorrow or let her go home and come back in for a heart cath this week. What the heck? You have her there. Do it now. *shaking head* Thanks for your good thoughts for her.

Sorry to hear about your best friend, Lis, that must be quite stressful since your mother just passed. It seems that to live means just to have things piled on.

I am over 6 months post hip surgery and feel like walking again in any real way is a lost cause. For some reason my body can't tolerate even a few minutes of physical therapy now. I haven't been outdoors in 10 months, have no human contact and can't even see anything out my window. Between my non-life and the political situation, I don't think I can drum up any enthusiasm for life. What makes it feel worse is how guilty I feel that I complain. I know people have it so much worse than I do.

Tomorrow night, Robbie and I will face off over Patriots/Seahawks. For the first time we will both have quarterbacks who are black and tend to scramble. Let's see who wins.

Lis, sorry your friend is unwell. I had low sodium from the IV antibiotics two years ago and spent a night in the hospital, hooked up to an IV saline drip and constant heart monitor. They took me off the diuretic i was taking for blood pressure. They sent me home when my sodium levels, while still low, were above the dangerously low range. The irony in all this is that I was watching my salt because of my blood pressure!

Badhorsie, I can’t walk very far myself with this bum leg. Walking used to be a way for me to exercise, but no more.

I am concerned about your isolation. Are there any services for shut ins in your area to help alleviate that?

Perhaps the bunch of us should start getting together occasionally via Zoom.
