Coffee, Tanya.

It's 70 and sunny this AM with the usual possible boomer. Shadow is stalking birds and squirrels through the back door and windows. She sends top of the morning greetings to Isabella and Belle. She just streaked to the window from the back door. I suspect a squirrel.

I've got to get out and pick up a few things before I head out in the AM for four days of trout fishing.

I have to have a cat nap.

Isabella sends greetings back to Shadow and you. The only things she stalks are me and her blue mouse.

I buy all of my Christmas gifts and as many other items as I can online, Belle. I had to run five errands yesterday, two of which took me shopping into stores. After the first one, I barely made it back to my car in the parking lot. But the second one was for something Mom really needed yesterday, and I darn near decided not to do that errand. But I got it done and paid for it in the night. I won't be doing that again. Anyway, the local malls are saying that it's online shopping that is killing them....

Oh, Meemaw? Mr. Cameron is 22 today. How is that possible?

Good heavens! I remember holding a fussy Mr Cameron when he was just a baby, walking him around the restaurant so you and Brett and Andrew could finish your lunches in peace.

I bet I couldn't hold him and walk him around, now. emoticon

No, I don't think that would be possible. The good news is that he isn't fussy at restaurants anymore. emoticon

He’ll, all. It’s sunny and warm but in these parts, not unpleasant from where I sit(on the couch🙂).Sandy and I had a morning appointment today which pushed my yard work to tomorrow morning. It was too hot for outside work for me by 11, about the time we got home. It will be there in the morning. I’ll do it right after our morning walk. I did the front yards yesterday after walking to no ill effect, so that’s the plan.

Michele and Franklin were supposed to pick the kids up on Monday night. Didn’t happen. They were stuck in Jamaica until 3:30 yesterday afternoon so we had Eva and Aidan until last night. They were truly a pleasure to have. Sandy drove them to and from school and dance and soccer practice yesterday, but things are so close together here that it wasn’t really a problem. And Sandy loves it.

Enjoy your trip, Cooter.

Glad you’re feeling a little better, Birdz.

Our local mall is all but dead. It’s definitely because of a combination of things. The first problem is location. It is in a remote corner of the county, but it was fairly busy until on line shopping took off. I’m not sure how it stays open. And the mall in the nearest town to here is not nearly as busy as it was in years gone by. We try to use local businesses when it’s practical. And even at that we do a lot of on line shopping.

That was definitely a walk down memory lane, Peter. Thanks for posting it. It is nice to remember the people and the conversations.

OK.....I have been in misery since Saturday night. I've set up a new printer and it just cost what ink for the old one would have. It's a Canon. I've had to sell some stock to have enough money to pay the IRS with some left over for my dental work.

Shadow is very insistent that she gets to chase the pizza slice on a cord. She will just have to wait. I've played with her twice already!!

Didn't do the rib roast last night, so it's on now. I don't have fresh green beans but I have some canned ones.

I'm sending telepathic endorphins, Cooter. It's way past time you started feeling good again. Aren't you supposed to go fishing tomorrow?

I will be dealing with the wily rainbow trout. They are mostly around eleven inches but do get larger. They have to raise them in a hatchery facility since they won't bread in captivity because it won't get cold enough. On occasion, we have caught some up to 3-5 lbs. Those put up a very nice fight in fast water and a four lb. line. We get a walleye on occasion. Those are seriously good to eat!!

I've got the roast on. It should be ready in another hour or so. Thanks for the endorphins, Belle!

Nice new Rumpus Room!

I had a lovely Mother's Day weekend, with the "kids" coming here for dinner Saturday night. Then I got a "city girl" trip to Denver on Sunday, having dinner at a nice seafood restaurant (fresh oysters and halibut, which are not easy to come by in land-locked Colorado), staying overnight at a favorite downtown hotel and visiting the da Vinci exhibit at the Nature and Science Museum on Monday. It was an incredible exhibit! I don't know if it will be traveling to other museums, but if it comes your way, I would highly recommend seeing it.

Now it's back to the grind, alas.

Sometimes when I can't stand reality any longer I go to a movie. Today was one such day, and I went to see Poms, starring Diane Keaton and others.

Any of us could have written the plot. It was light fluff, which is exactly what I wanted.

Perfect.

Wow. Lots of familiar names I haven't heard for quite some time. Thanks for sharing those links.

Amen! I hope to do a bit of that this summer down at the cabin in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado.

I'm glad you were able to see the movie, Robbie. I've seen the promos, and I was hoping it would be the light fun I'd like, too. (I've also been drawn to Tolkein, too, which looks very dark. Moods....)

Have a wonderful fishing trip, Cooter! I hope your pain will ease and you'll have a fun time with your son. emoticon

I must be living wrong, Brick. I'd LOVE to get "stuck" in Jamaica for an extra day! emoticon So glad you got to enjoy the kids a little longer. emoticon

So glad you had a nice Mother's Day weekend, Susie!
