It's 62 and breezy, and the sun comes and goes. (It went just now.)

I got my oil changed and went to Safeway. Somewhere on the Safeway parking lot, a dog was howling.

I feel much better now that my oil has been changed. Carl took only 15 minutes to do that and to put windshield-wiper fluid in the windshield-wiper fluid tank. My car is feeling better too.

It’s 90 and miserable here. And there’s a weather system off North Carolina that could make for a wet weekend here.

I think I’ll do a little knitting.

Hi Things. Don't have much to say, just checking in. We are in a drought here, so I can't relate to people complaining about rain. My weeds are dying and I can't stand it! I want rain.

My leg strength and walking ability are really improving. Spiritually I'm trying to practice gratitude instead of negativity/obstacles.

Cooter, my friend, I guess in a week you'll be having a knee replacement. Put preparations in place to make it easier when you come home. Line up the most helpful devices, the best (or the easiest) food, get the house really clean, set up your entertainment, get a portable commode if you don't have one, enlist your friends to give you support.

Hello.... What a day....

I'm so glad you're seeing a real improvement, Badhorsie! That can make all the difference.

Hang in there, Chuck. I'm STILL dealing with Fidelity over Mom's finances to pay her nursing home bills. It has only taken five months so far....

I walked out of an all-afternoon meeting right into a severe thunderstorm -- and the building door locked behind me, so it was a run for the car. I was completely drenched by the time I got in. The city streets were flooded -- there was nowhere for the rain to go. Turns out we got about 2" of rain in less than 30 minutes. When I turned onto the street leading to my house, the streets were dry and the rain was just beginning. Wild and wooly day.

I'm hearing good news from you, badhorsie! I knew that you would stick with it and come back to a real life.

I won't have knee surgery until sometime in the future. I'll have the permanent implants of the Boston Scientific system July 24th and after a few weeks should start to get better. I can't use it for 2 weeks after the surgery so it will be easy to tell if there is a problem with the surgery itself.

It's still quite warm here at half-past 7 and 91 degrees.

Looking forward to the cooler temps in the mountains, starting tomorrow and continuing for the next 12 days.

Stay well, all you things. I'll see you in a while.

Excellent advice, Badhorsie. My cousin’s wife set things up for him before his recent back surgery.

Yikes, Lis! I’ve had a similar experience, walking out the door, and then having the heavens dump a bucketful on me.

Today is Mama Birdz’s 99th birthday. DH has sent her a tea assortment with honey sticks. I think my brother is visiting her. If so, I’ll order some goodies from Whole Foods for delivery to her.

And I got another fundraising appeal from Catholic Social Services that has a flyer/newsletter, with several photos, one with my baby brother in it. Their big story is about the convalescence of one of their charges from COVID.

I located the thread in question over at YAP, Robbie. I've had some harsh things to say in our Forum there. We will see what the morrow brings.

Thanks, Cooter. I am so deeply hurt by everyone's failure to curb Ramm that when MarksMomm approached me today it made me cry. It felt like locate wound, apply salt. She apologized to Ramm? Give me a fookin' break.

I'll get over this but she (and maybe others) needs to give me time to heal.

Badhorsie! I'm thrilled to hear about your real improvement.

Lis, you have the most exciting life. Wherever you go, thunderstorms follow, and you outwit them.

I hope Mama Birdz has a happy 99th.

Susie, have a good time.

Cooter, smack Ramm for me while you're at it. YAP is a jungle.

Good morning, all. We have 57F and rain, heading for 67F and rain.

I have to go to the store today and I don't want to. Life's hard.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

It's 81 and mostly cloudy in Redneck Acres with 89 appearing to be the high today. It's funny....my hands don't shake, they kind of flop around and usually hit some wrong keys, like just then!

DD avoided the store trip yesterday so I loaded into the wagon and went to Dollar General down the road for milk and popcorn. I had neither and both are necessities of life.

The bug man comes this afternoon. I had seen a couple of smallish black spiders back in my end of the house but since he was coming just waited instead of calling. They weren't black widows.

Shadow has been crazy in playing! The pizza slice on the end of a string and pole is her favorite and she can be a blur after it! LOL!

Nothing much else going on today. Baseball starts the day before my surgery!!!!

People are saying that Wendy is owed an apology. I said that she should be contacted and given it then.

In other news, As The Admins' Forum Turns is in progress.

Cooter, I don't want to pollute Time Zone with YAP stuff, so I'll send you an email about that.

Hello, all. It’s another in a very long line of uneventful hot and muggy days here in sunny Florida. I did have an appointment with my neurologist this afternoon. Nothing has changed which is good.

I hope all you things are doing reasonably well. Our brood continues to do well, thank goodness.

Iced tea, please, Tanya.

Mom PM'd you an apology Robbie, and she made a sincere one on the Forum as to how she handled everything. Kirt has doubled down on being right. He has no supporters.

Kirt is the one who demanded that I acknowledge that I was wrong about something. After I ignored his demand, he doubled down, and then Erb, Victor and ElAl ganged up on me. I left.

For me to return, two things would have to happen: Kirt would have to resign or be fired as mod, and Erb would have to resign or be fired as mod.

I did not try to contact “Mom” about the matter.
