Welcome, GW! As you probably recall, the first drink in the Rumpus Room is on the house.

Welcome, GW! emoticon We're so glad you're here!

I LOVE your board-closing story. You'll find that your views on guns have a welcome home here.

And if you love ellipses, you'll LOVE my posts! I use them because that's the way I talk. I just fade out....

Re: Introduce yourself

Thanks for your compliment on my bio, GW. (I'm late acknowledging because our posts must have crossed somewhere in cyberspace.) I noticed that we are fellow editors. Did you know that Lis and Susie are editors, and Robbie is Miss Grundy? We talk about language in Miss Grundy's classroom from time to time.

We have not heard from Hawk in months, and we are very much concerned about him. The last time we heard, he was in very bad health and living in Trieste.

According to pictures on the internet, Anatolian Shepherds are gorgeous. They have a curly tail, like Robbie's Kudo.

Welcome to the Time Zone, GW! My recollection of you from the Time boards is as someone who inhabits the reasonable center of the political spectrum.

Teachers, editors and fellow guitar players are all high on the list of my favorite people. I hope you find this place a welcome refuge during these crazy times.

Hiya, brickie.

Well, it's Day 6 or 7 of our self-imposed quarantine and everyone here seems to be handling it pretty well.

But a lot of our fellow Americans, those who own small businesses, and those who work for hourly wages are hurting badly and will continue to hurt even more.

When we eventually get COVID-19 under control, our economy is going to be in a very bad way with a lot of small businesses going under and a lot of folks out of work.

And the economy will be in a shambles....it will be a recession bordering on a depression.

Heaven help us all.................

Through the magic of the cosmic zap and my internet provider, I'm here. Some of you know me, but I'm hoping I'll be welcome anyway.. I'll come and go, but that's generally what I do these days, come and go..emoticon

I have spent a good long while hanging on the periphery of YAP of late, but I think that's pretty much done at least as an active participant. The loss of Nessus and more immediately, the way Robbie was used by a few of the folks there did much to precipitate this decision, but it was coming anyway. I became uncomfortable with all the pettiness and drama. I've always been more one to vote with my feet than make a fuss.

It is nice to make (and/or re-make) your acquaintances and from time to time when I'm not either fishing or trying to cajole Samuel R. Housecat to use the litter box more regularly, I'll be around. So, a hearty Don Ameche to all and a fondue until we meet again..

Welcome, glherter! You sound like a live one. I like you already for being indignant on behalf of Robbie. Pet Sam for me.

What do we call you?

Thank You, Robbie. I certainly will.

Ms Belle: One of my names is Lee and that would work. As would just plain ol' GL.

wow, GL. Welcome home. It has been a while since I've "seen" you. But then I never frequented YAP.

I've stayed mostly in the safe confines of a site run by Robbie.

Hi all and thank you..

I've just returned from six hours on the water for a very paltry number of fish (smallmouth bass). That's the way it sometimes goes.

Now its shower and a nap, followed later by raviolis in a olive oil/garlic/red pepper sauce.

I highly recommend this retirement stuff, at least the first half..emoticon

GL, remember the Rumpus Room? We still have it. That would be a better place for this conversation.
