Good morning, all. We have 57F under overcast skies, heading for 65 and some chance of rain.

Did you enjoy summer, Belle? This year we got two days of it, Sunday and Monday. Nice that part of it fell on the weekend.

I have a haircut appointment this afternoon, which I desperately needed. When she cut it right after the lockdown was lifted she didn't cut it enough. I'm a shaggy dog.

Cooter, great news about the surgery later this month!

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Cooter, I don't know where you check for messages, so I'll leave this here: Ramm and Kirt have successfully run me off YAP. Ramm did what he does best: he twisted something I posted into something else, turned it into a weapon and beat me ceaselessly with it. He had lots of help from Kirt. What hurts the most is that nobody made them stop.

Good afternoon/morning....

I'm sorry you experienced that, Robbie. It's no fun when that happens....

So glad you have a date, Cooter! I hope it will make a big difference for you.

I'm glad Isabella was so forgiving, Belle. She really loves you. emoticon

Sounds like you have a relaxing day to look forward to, Brick.

It's certainly not summer here today, Robbie. Gloom and swaying branches. But we've had more than two glorious days.

My Weed Weasel is still in the packing box from Amazon, and the root-slasher shovel is leaning up against a wall in the carport. And I'm wallowing in season 2 of Hill Street Blues, where Captain Freedom, in his red suit and green cape is explaining to Mick why he's out getting in everybody's way fighting crime. This is his second arrest for interfering and letting the bad guys get away. I like Hill Street Blues because it is so whimsical, and so original.

I could give you some of my current summer weather, Robbie and Belle? Today, tomorrow and Thursday will be in the high 90s. Then Friday's predicted high will be 102, and we're looking at triple digits through Monday.

So I am EXTRA glad we are heading to the mountains on Thursday! The highs through Monday in the area around the cabin will be in the mid- to high-70s. The lows at night will be in the high 40s. Perfect sleeping weather!

Lots more chores to do around here before we leave, though.

Take care and stay well, all you things!

Youch, Susie. I will stop complaining about mid-90s and 50% humidity....

Well, I bit the bullet and bought our plane tickets to my brother's wedding. It will be good to see everyone. I'm still afraid of flying right now, but there's no other way to do it. I have Brett on the hunt for our N95 masks for the flights....

I'm so glad you've got sun and Hill Street Blues, Belle. Sounds like fun. emoticon

Lis, I have one N95 mask (unused) that I'd be happy to send you, if that would help.

Thanks, Robbie. I'll let you know. Do you remember where you got it? I can send Brett to check out the same kind of place here. We would need six total.

My brother sent a nice email this afternoon, asking us to stay masked for the wedding and reception (except while eating), and for everyone to get a COVID test within 7 days of going. I appreciate that he and his fiancee are being so careful.

It's hot here today, 111 degrees, which is 4 degrees above average for this time of year. Still seems excessive, especially when I go out to bring in the trash cans and I feel like my face is melting off like when they opened the Ark of the Covenant in that Indiana Jones movie. 115 degrees by this weekend, and no relief in sight.

I'll have one of Lis' frozen margaritas, Ramundo. Make it extra-brainfreezey.

Wow. That's really nice! emoticon Brett is already out looking. I appreciate the offer, but hope we can find them here to avoid the shipping. I promise to let you know.

Man, now that the tickets are bought, I'm a nervous wreck.

Yikes, Chuck. We posted at the same time, so I didn't see that. 114??? Geez, there is NO amount of "dry heat" that makes THAT tolerable!!!

I'm sorry about that. Most of my time spent there has been in Admins' meetings and discussions. As you know, I can't say anything about them. I can say that Ramm is nothing but trash. He has to always win and be right and he will change goalposts and ignore facts in order to do so. I just mostly ignore him when he starts that, but Vic has to jump in and then it's on.

I'll just say that we have issues within the Admins right now. One has resigned which didn't bother me a whit. KJ is trying hard if folks will give her a chance.

I hate that you have left. You've been such a valuable asset there. I don't spend a whole lot of time there myself.

Thank you, Cooter. I appreciate that. To KJ's credit she reached out to me and was very supportive.

What I can't understand is that Diane didn't make Ramm stop until I PM'd her with his latest bashing and screamed at her AND NOBODY MAKES HIM STOP!

Marksmomm, to my total incomprehension, apologized to Ramm! Jesus H Fookin' Christ!

I'm furious with Diane, Ramm, and Kirt. I'm deeply hurt that nobody made them stop. They all owe me an apology and I'll never get one. But MM apologized to Ramm for whatever slight he made up.

And I have no plans to return. Ever.

56 degrees this morning. Mostly cloudy. The moon was bright in the south, and I saw two stars.

I learned in an e-mail from a friend that it was Voltaire instead of Descartes who said, "If they can make you believe absurdities, they can make you commit atrocities." That sounds just like Voltaire, doesn't it?

Good morning, all. We have 57F under mostly cloudy skies, heading for 68F and partly cloudy skies. I'll keep close watch on whenever that changeover happens.

I don't know of anything that is to happen today, but it probably will, regardless.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Today will be hot, with continuing warmth that I will get to personally experience as I spend time outdoors attempting to keep various landscape plants alive.

Indoors I will keep the theme going as I expect heated conversations with Bank of America, Prudential and a few other select companies that want me to know that, even in these unprecedented and difficult times, my financial needs are important to them and my call will be answered in the order in which it was received.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

It's 81 here at Cooterville and mostly sunny with I'm trying to type in a high...83...and weird groups of letters popping up that make no sense at all.

I think that I will have to go to Walhell today and grab some things that we are out of. Their handicapped spots are always full. Not enough, but one of the Managers tells me that they are up to legality. That doesn't mean !@#$ if you still don't have enough, you stupid twit!

I have a few chores that need attention but I doubt that my legs are going to cooperate. Having said that, it's iced tea time!
