LOL! Be careful what you wish for! If the CDC is coming to your house, it's probably not about how you cleaned up after going out.... emoticon

I don't know what it is about the middle of the afternoon, but so many times I've been moving well and not hurting too much.

THEN....the !@#$ hits. I get out to run a few errands and hit the grocery store and I just want to lay down in a bed of lettuce.

I had DD unload $130 worth of groceries...my store was pretty well stocked and they were working on restocking. They also had a couple of guys at least going around with a spray bottle and a cloth cleaning everything that was holding grocery.

I didn't get any center-cut pork chops like I wanted, but I bought a small package of 6 that had two in it. Per DD I'm slowly smothering two in mushroom gravy and will either eat some more stuffing with the gravy or fix rice and I think leftover butterbeans. Back to the kitche.

My sister emailed me with news on her brood. Grandkid #4 is due Sep 29. My sister is hoping that it’s born on the 28th, which would have been Dad’s 100th birthday. Her daughters are working at home, which makes giving professional presentations challenging when there are little ones and dogs who don’t understand to stay out of the way.

An occupational therapist made a home visit to consult with DH about his weakness. She was impressed with his resourcefulness in finding a few tools to make some tasks easier, and said that she’s going to research to find other aids.

Got Malbec, Ramondo? Could I have one, and whatever my buddies here want on my tab?

Birdz, maybe I haven't followed closely enough.

DH's weaknesses? Tools?

Thanks for the drink! Chardonnay, please, Ramundo!

(How I miss red wines. I wish I could have a Malbec, but my tummy would be mad at me.)

Good morning, all. Well, so much for sleeping later for me. For a week or so after starting to self quarantine I was able to sleep a little later in the mornings. Apparently that has ended. I’ve been up at my normal 5 AM for the past couple of days. It was nice while it lasted. I’ll be glad to relax and get out if only to pick up our grocery orders or to the bank drive through. I’m looking forward to it.

Carol, our friend from Vero who was tested on Monday has no sign of her symptoms worsening, a very good sign. She hasn’t gotten results yet. She should get them tomorrow. Thanks for all of your kind thoughts.

Stay well, everyone. Our clan continues to hang in there.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Good morning, all. We have 45F with overcast skies, heading for 49F with rain coming in this afternoon.

Dave isn't showing any symptoms, Brick, and thanks for asking. But, of course, it's two weeks before we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

I'm glad to see your report that your friend, Carol, isn't seeing her symptoms worsening. We'll all keep our fingers crossed for everyone we care about.

I don't know why I don't want to knit. I've been forcing myself to do a little, every day, just because I think I'm being a brat for not working on stuff. I'll do a little more today.

Stay safe, everyone.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

It could be just everything is settling in, Robbie. I'm finding myself not as driven to get things done, too.

So glad to hear that Dave and Carol aren't showing any symptoms. Every sniffle sounds like an alarm to me. I'm assuming that the high pollen levels are sneaking their way into the house.

It's a cloudy morning in Arizona, but no real chance of rain in the forecast. Today I stay home and edit videos, a task that requires I watch preschool lessons over and over and over again. If you think that listening to "Going on a Bear Hunt" twenty times is fun, I've got news for you.

I'm paranoid about every sign of ill health in the house, too. Mrs. Chuck has allergies and coughs all the time this time of year. I had a random headache yesterday. These things worry me more than they ought to.

Stay paranoid, everybody. It's uncomfortable and a nuisance but it pays off in the long haul.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

It's 72 and sunny today with a high of 82 for which I'm not ready. Good news on Dave and Carol. I've always liked the name Carol, and I almost asked her for coffee instead of Tanya. Duh.

I got a good night's sleep which is needed and I hope that I can keep this going. I've avoided a nap the last couple of days hoping that with sleeping well consistently that I will get back to not needing naps.

DD's boyfriend will be over for at least tonight. His mother is selling her house and will buy a little small place which leaves him without a place to stay. He's not working right now because the places that he is the sound man for are closed. I guess he will be here probably for a while although that hasn't been confirmed. He also has a cat. If he comes here I suspect there will be a catfight as Shadow lets it be known who this place belongs to. I suspect it won't be much more than that. I'm just not happy at all with it.

46 here and cloudy, with a slight breeze.

Good news about Dave and Carol, Robbie.

Hand in there, Chuck. You may learn to LIKE it.

I doubt that you'll learn to like DD's boyfriend, Cooter. Can any man like his son-in-law (or equivalent)? My father couldn't stand either of my husbands, and he was not afraid that they might be bringing coronavirus into the house. Of course, they smoked. That must have been it.

I'm worried about DD's boyfriend's cat.

Robbie - it’s the hand weakness that DH has been seeing doctors about. He was supposed to have seen yet another neurologist at Johns Hopkins tomorrow, hopefully to rule out ALS. Hopefully, it’s just something treatable, but he needs help doing some simple tasks that we take for granted like opening a bottle.

The birds are being pains in the butts right now, squawking nonstop.

I went fishing for a couple hours today. It was in the low fifties, light south wind, with low clouds filtering the sunlight. It was excellent!

Ok...I didn't catch anything. However, it was a real nice way to combine a little social distancing with therapy for the head.

How's every little thing 'round here today?

It was the best!

Just for that...it's cocktail hour! Please, everyone grab a drink and put it on my tab.

As Captain Renault (Claude Rains) said in "Casablanca": "Oh, please, monsieur. It is a little game we play. They put it on the bill, I tear up the bill. It is very convenient."

I love that movie but I don't remember that line. Too bad, because it's a wonderful line!

Oooh, thanks, Peter! I’ll have a Pinot Noir, please.

I know how those vague symptoms worry people more these days. I have a mildly sore throat today but nothing else, and I’m a bit worried.

I’m looking at a very sleepy looking cockatoo right now.
