The Leaning Tower of Pisa was originally designed to be a bell tower or campanile. Of course, when it was built, it was not intended to lean. The Tower of Pisa is one of four buildings in the Piazza dei Miracoli, along with a cathedral, baptistry and cemetery. The tower started leaning in 1178 due to shifting soil that destabilized its foundation. It continued to lean over time, although recent efforts have managed to stabilize the tower.

Bingo. Give the lady a cigar. The Dead Sea is actually a salt lake. That is located roughly 430 metres (1,420+ feet) below sea level. The salinity level in the lake is over 34%. Almost ten times the salt level of the oceans. That kills off literally every form of aquatic life. Thus the name Dead Sea. The total area of the lake is rapidly receding, with the surface area diminishing by one half during the past century. One bit of warning. Due to the salinity level you do not want to enter the lake if you have any open wounds. Trust me. Been there, done that, have the T-shirt. lol

Once again give a round of applause for Lis. The Mare Tranquillitatis or Sea of Tranquility is possibly the most famous geological formation on the moon. As this was the landing site for Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in Apollo 11 when they became the first humans to land on the moon.
