Re: Sports Scoreboard
ESPN reporters pick Week 7's biggest games
ESPN staff
Can No. 2 Georgia survive a trip to Death Valley against No. 13 LSU? Will No. 7 Washington hold off No. 17 Oregon? Can No. 15 Wisconsin make a run at No. 12 Michigan in Ann Arbor? Can No. 6 West Virginia escape a night game in Ames against Iowa State?
Our writers pick the winners, with scores, for those four contests.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
Some good football this weekend.
History tends to repeat itself, and [sign in to see URL] going to post what my Sports Editor said about Georgia/LSUx but the paper doesn't have his column online, for some reason.
For what it's worth, history favors LSUx.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
Congratulations, Robbie and Cooter. Good games by the Seahawks and the Redskins. The Steelers made a nail biter out of it, but Ben, along with Antonio Brown loomed large in the final minute. This takes them into their bye week. Leveon Bell May be with them when they come back to play Cleveland. I’m feeling a little more optimistic these days. 🙂

Yay, Almirola! Jumped from 71st place to 54th place in my fantasy NASCAR league today, thanks to his win. And I have to say that it pulls at my heartstrings to see the pure joy in a young man getting his second career win.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
Tonight's Sunday Night Football featured the New England Patriots against the Kansas City Chiefs. In the first half it looked like it would be yet another game in which the Patriots stomped their opponent. But something different happened in the second half, and the Chiefs pulled up, then ahead for a brief moment. It was all tied up at 40 all until the end, when the Patriots hit a field goal, ending the game at Patriots 43, Chiefs 40.
Man, what a game!

Re: Sports Scoreboard
I MUCH prefer those kinds of games than routs -- even when the wrong team wins.

Re: Sports Scoreboard
OK. This was NOT a good weekend for Colorado football, with TWO major defeats at the hands of those spoiled people in Los Angeles.
CSU handed the Colorado Buffaloes their first defeat of the season with a romping of 31 - 20. We are now 5-1. And we have dropped out of the top 25 teams.
The LA Rams, who used to call St. Louis, MO, home beat the Broncos 23 to 20, and we are now 2 wins, 4 losses.
Robbie, we're going to need a miracle to defeat your Huskies in Seattle next week. I still can't believe Oregon prevailed over Washington on Saturday!!! I do think Washington will end up playing in the Pac 12 Championship game for the northern division. The southern division is much more up in the air. Utah POUNDED Arizona this week, and has beat Stanford, too.

Dear friend Robbie, I definitely believe your Huskies will win. Not only do you have home-field advantage, but you also have a much superior O-line.
Our QB has improved, and we have a wonderful sophomore running back/receiver, but I think the Huskies will prevail this weekend.
I'll treat you to a bottle of J. Lohr chardonnay if you win, but I'll probably have to mail you a check for that.

No, Susie, no bet has been made and you don't owe me anything beyond a round in the Rumpus Room.
But it's a lovely thought! Thanks!

Re: Sports Scoreboard
I picked the Seahawks to win. I think they've won every time that I've picked them.
We lost one of our two first round wide receivers for the rest of the year. We have some freshmen that have been playing really well, but how do you replace a guy that's 6' 4" and 230 who runs a 4.4 sec. 40 yd. dash?
