58 degrees and calm. The sun comes and goes. I saw the last episode of Nurse Jackie this morning, and bawled at the end. I googled "Best finales of TV series" and didn't find a website that listed this one, but reading about those the critics thought were the best was interesting. Now I'm at THAT point again: What am I going to do for the rest of my life?

Tell us all about that fridge, Cooter. What is its capacity. Does it make ice on the inside or the outside. Can we see your model if we google it? I love new appliances. (Materialism is next to godliness.)

Right now I'm thinking Thursday.

It's 25.4 cubic feet I believe, stainless side by side with water and ice in the freezer door. I really like the way that it's configured and all of the shelves, even in the doors, can be adjusted.

I'll try to remember to find something online about the model. It's a Kenmore. I've replaced all of my appliances except the dishwasher so far with Kenmore appliances. I get them on sale and they work forever.

Congrats, Cooter! emoticon I hope you'll really enjoy your new fridge. Glad you were able to get your finances worked out, too.

So glad you enjoyed your Nurse Jackie series, Belle. emoticon I don't know if you've watched the entire series of West Wing (7 seasons, I believe), but I HIGHLY recommend it! emoticon

Good luck with your Camelot rain program, Robbie. I would sign up for that. emoticon

Busy day.... We met friends for lunch, then took Mom down to Indianapolis (hey, it's a Fidelity day here, too, Cooter!) to get her investments all put into place. Then brought her up to pick up her new glasses. She likes them! Then went to the annual meeting for our credit union.... I'm pooped! Only one thing on the calendar tomorrow, and I'm cancelling out already....

DD and I went out to dinner tonight to a restaurant we haven't tried that I'd heard great things about. She had scallops and I had Kobe short ribs.

We probably have at least four 5 star restaurants here in Oxford if not five. The ESPN guys can't wait to do games here so they can spend time [sign in to see URL]. We've run into people who drove four hours to eat here and foodies from Illinois who came here to spend a week. It's that good.

Now I've got to figure out what to do for supper tomorrow [sign in to see URL]. Since I hope to get a new fridge [sign in to see URL] will be heading to her mother's for a few [sign in to see URL] have to get ready tomorrow.

My personal trainer decided to stop training, so I've been assigned a new trainer, about whom I'm hearing good things from my friends who go to the same gym. Not that it matters, but like me, he's a Catholic University of America alumnus. The wife of my now former trainer has not been well, and I think that's why he quit.

I'm reading "The President is Missing," and I'm enjoying it a lot. It really is a "thriller," my kind of novel.

Morning, Rumpions:

I'm not finding a 25.4 in stainless, but here is the link to a 25, and it's gorgeous:

If this is your refrigerator, Cooter, I'm purifying my soul with envy. Crushed or cubed ice in the door! (I want one.)

I've been thinking that it's time for me to see West Wing again, Lis. I've had the seven series for several years. I used to watch reruns on TV, and I finally bought the whole thing. I think I've seen the whole thing only twice, and it has been a while. It's the best thing on video I've ever seen. I may be reluctant to see it again because I'm afraid I would whimper all the way through.

Good morning, all. Good luck with the new fridge, Cooter.

I went to my radiation doctor yesterday and he was pleased with what he saw. he made my next appointment for six months from yesterday rather than three. And he answered a few questions I had about sensations in the areas where I was treated. If he's pleased. so am I.

I'll be taking Shiva for her annual visit to the vet. That's always fun. She is still very excitable so I generally keep her in the car out front and they get me when the exam room is ready so she can be ushered in quickly before she excitedly tries to play with everyone and everything in the waiting room.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

New from your radiation doctor sounds good, Brick!

Bad of you to deprive the people in the waiting room of Shiva.

Bonjour!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 68 and has been storming all night. I haven't slept well at all, which sucks considering I have an eye appointment this afternoon and need to start getting the old refrigerator ready to go. I'll call them this morning and see if they can delivery tomorrow.

That wasn't quite it Belle, but ]This is. It's 25 cu ft which is big enough. Every now and then I have to correct my grammar program but it's taught me a lot. Ms. Grundy would be proud.

Good morning, all. We have 56F and rain, with a forecast high of 63F and showers. I'll take it. Things need watering.

Today is Smokey Cream's Empress Kudo's birthday. She is 15 years old today, which isn't bad at all. She's being deprived of her yard, though, because of the rain. I need to get her a treat to celebrate her day.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Happy Birthday to The Empress! Shadow sends purrs.

This is going to be a miserable day, and I'm not sure that I can get the place ready for the new fridge for tomorrow. Little sleep and I've not been able to nap. Power went off a couple of hours ago or more and just came back on. I wish I didn't have the eye doctor appointment.

The Empress thanks you both, along with Shadow, for the good birthday wishes.

I think she'd rather have a marrow bone than a cake, Belle, and I'm working on getting her one. Yesterday the two major grocery stores near me were out of them, but one expects some today. I'll check in a bit.

Cooter, I'm sorry this is a difficult day for you. I hope you feel better as the morning ripens.

I hope the power stays on, Cooter. How are you going to do the switch-over from refrigerator to refrigerator? How are you going to keep the frozen things frozen while the new one freezes?

I have a separate upright freezer, so that won't be a problem. I have a Yeti cooler for things that I want to stay pretty cold and other coolers that will do fine for the other stuff with a couple of milk cartons of ice in them. That's what I use to take the cold stuff to the trout river.

I'm tired. I wish I didn't have this eye appointment but I don't want to put it off since I'd like to have glasses again. I have reading glasses and my distance vision is still pretty good, so I make it OK.

Sorry to hear you'll be switching personal trainers, Birdz, but I hope you'll enjoy the new one. emoticon

NICE refrigerator, Cooter! Hope your power stays on and you'll be feeling better as the day goes on.

So happy for your good news from the doctor, Brick! That longer-distance appointment is a good thing! emoticon

Belle, West Wing is part of what got me through the Bush years. I showed my AP Government class selected episodes to highlight something we were studying, and the kids always looked forward to West Wing day....

Happy Birthday, Empress!!! emoticon
