Re: The Rumpus Room

Good morning, all. It’s another muggy morning and so another pool day instead of walking. Sandy and Eva are going to get haircuts and probably lunch later today. I might bite the bullet and do the little bit of trimming I left undone on the house next door and then hit the pool. The thing about yard work or any outside activity I have to cover up and use sunscreen on whatever is not covered by my uv proof shirts. So in short order a dip becomes really appealing.

Good luck to Andrew, Lis, and it’s good to see that you share sleeping more. Obviously your body needs it.

Welcome back, Cooter.

Coffee, please, Tanya. And Joe, if you need a mason to lay those block, if you would just send me a ticket, I’d be happy to help. 😎

Lis, I'm pleased about Andrew's job offer.

Cooter, I'm relieved that you didn't fall in.

Joe, you and Blanche are going to be walking and dancing when you're 100 years old (which is a long way from now, but you're getting a lot of good practice for it).

The Rumpus Room is a great place to start each day!

Good morning, all. We have weather that doesn't know what it wants to do. That makes figuring out what to wear something of a challenge.

I think this is a quiet day.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Coffee, Tanya.

It's morning and I think only supposed to hit around 81 today. It was really hot when we got to the river, but Saturday was wonderful!

We had a nice fishing trip. We caught some to eat and my son took a nice bunch home that I froze and vacuum sealed for him to have and give some to his boss. I still have some in my freezer from last year.

I had a good night's sleep but am dragging. I just don't feel that up to snuff. I have the pain clinic appointment this PM and need to hit the store for a few essentials. I also need to clean up.

Olive oil. It's "Enzo's Table Organic" extra virgin from California. Amazon has it along with other versions.

Thanks, Cooter! That oil sounds wonderful. So glad you caught fish and had fun. emoticon

Glad you're having a quiet day, Robbie. Those are good. emoticon

Good morning, Belle! emoticon

Hope you're enjoying a wonderful dip, Brick! emoticon

Well, I didn't get to bed until 3 am, but I slept well past noon. emoticon Brett has his day off today, so he dealt with the cleaning ladies. They're absolutely a joy.... emoticon Mom cancelled her appointment for this afternoon, so I'm done for the day....

Andrew just called. He finally got the specifics of the job offer, and they're offering exactly the same pay as his previous job -- for fewer than half the hours. And the commute is only 15 minutes from his apartment. He quickly said yes! So he starts Thursday. I'm so grateful.... I was very worried that because this is a state candidate, rather than a federal candidate, the pay would be significantly less. I'm just astonished it's the same. Yes!

Coffee, Tanya.

It's 75 and sunny here on The Farm. Kind of a rough morning for Bubba. I'm thinking that since I was restless last night I got in a bad position for my back, which messes everything else up.

I've got my neurologist appointment today and the lady that cleans and helps out will be here. She's really good.

DD made good spaghetti last night and cleaned up afterwards. I think I'll grill some chicken breasts for supper and make chicken salad out of the leftovers.

Good morning, all. I have 54F and mostly blue skies with a few clouds scattered about. We're supposed to hit 71F this afternoon. Goldilocks weather.

Cooter, I'm glad you're seeing your neurologist today. I'm still aghast that you have to be in pain all the time.

Coffee, please, Tanya.

Hello, all. Good luck with your neurologist appointment, Cooter.

We have had rain off and on all day today and it looks like tomorrow will be the same. It made for a quiet day. Sandy and Eva did some tie dying and I’ve been reading and napping off and on. But I’m ready for some exercise. I guess I’ll have to work it in between the showers. Tomorrow. 😎

The pain meds have about worn off, but I'm home and the bar is open! It will be all better!

They think the CPAP use is going very well. Since the pain clinic is controlling the gabapentin and pain meds I'll just have to see my neurologist once a year.

DD is not well but said that she can eat grilled chicken breast and whatever.

I very seldom nap anymore since I've made progress with the CPAP. It's definitely made a difference in my opinion. I enjoyed my naps, but I'll take my present situation.

And...? What did the neurologist say about the constant pain in your legs?

Great news about Andrew's job, Lis!

And good news about the CPAP, Cooter. At least something in your litany of health woes seems to be improving.

We've had a couple of hot, dry days here, with highs in the 90s. I think it's supposed to start cooling off just in time for me to depart next week to the niece's wedding in New York and the visits with friends on Cape Cod.

Such is life...

The pain clinic is handling those issues. Right now there's nothing more for the neurologist himself to do unless something happens. They are very happy with the CPAP results, so I only have to see them once a year as it stands now.

I'm scheduled for a follow up next month. In the meantime, Doc and I are both doing some research on stem cell issues. I like him a lot. He's very up front and easy to discuss stuff with.

Once I make a decision as to what I want to do, all I have to do is call and set up the procedure. I'm not in a hurry, and am continuing to gather information so that I can be comfortable with what I decide to do. There's no certainty as to any results. I understand that. I'm willing to take a risk.

I guess I'm surprised to see you're not in a hurry. You've put up with a lot of pain for a long time.
