I know that Trump has been a bully all of his life and has actually gotten results from it. We'll see how his gambit with the tariffs plays out.

I give SK more credit for his agreeing to meet with [sign in to see URL] is [sign in to see URL] I do Trump. SK has been trying to meet with Kim for a while. Maybe he had something to do with [sign in to see URL] not. We'll see what happens! Maybe Kim will become his newest and bestest friend which should piss Putin [sign in to see URL].

So, ummmmm.... THIS potential twist just struck my little brain....

What if Trump's (and Un's) REAL agenda is to get UN pressure off of China and (taadaa!) Russia by coming to come "agreement" that the US can use as an excuse to veto any further UN Security Council sanctions on China and Russia, which means North Korea can get their goods more freely?

Gawd.... I hate thinking....

I've been told that the S. Koreans are about rioting in the streets over what Moon is doing with the north. They are afraid that with any agreement Kim will take over the SK military and economy. They see it as Moon becoming a big dog along with him.

Russian criminals’ links to Trump could compromise him
By Tom Adams and Dennis Aftergut

Why on E arth would President Trump’s company be posting armed guards in front of the computer servers at Trump Ocean Club Panama and shredding documents? Why would his company block access to the legitimate owners until Panamanian police forced his employees to leave the property? What could the Trump Organization possibly be seeking to hide and destroy? The answers may be in plain sight.

Connect the dots in public reporting on Trump’s financial dealings, and a business model comes to light, one based on association with crooks, money launderers — and lots of Russians.

Take Trump’s Panama tower. The project’s lead broker, Alexandre Henrique Ventura Nogueira, was a criminal; in 2009, he admitted to ...

Actually, I give that honor to Ronald Reagan. But Donald Trump is a major accelerant.

Trump’s New CIA Director Helped Oversee Controversial Torture Program

Gina Haspel was involved in the waterboarding of one terror suspect 83 times in a month, to the point where doctors had to revive him.

By Willa Frej

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he had chosen Deputy CIA Director Gina Haspel to run the agency while her boss, Mike Pompeo, replaces Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Haspel’s legacy is marked by her time in charge of one of the CIA’s most controversial programs to boot ― the torture of terror suspects in the early fight against al Qaeda.

Working as a clandestine officer in Thailand in 2002, Haspel reportedly was involved in the interrogations of two suspects, Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, several news outlets reported last year. The methods used against the men included waterboarding Abu Zubaydah 83 times in one month, to the point where doctors once had to revive him, and ramming his head into walls. He lost sight in one eye.

The torture sessions were videotaped, and Haspel also allegedly played a part in the tapes’ destruction in 2005. The CIA has disputed this, saying the decision fell to Haspel’s boss at the time, Jose Rodriguez.

CIA agents tortured terror suspects in black sites across the globe until former President Barack Obama ended the practice via executive order in 2009.

“Ms. Haspel’s background makes her unsuitable to serve as CIA director,” Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) said in a statement Tuesday. “Her nomination must include total transparency about this background, which I called for more than a year ago when she was appointed deputy director. If Ms. Haspel seeks to serve at the highest levels of U.S. intelligence, the government can no longer cover up disturbing facts from her past.”

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) also expressed skepticism about Haspel, given her background. “Ms. Haspel needs to explain the nature and extent of her involvement in the CIA’s interrogation program during the confirmation process,” he said.

*****

Haspel’s likely promotion reflects Pompeo’s and Trump’s sympathetic approach to torture. Trump has said he wants to bring back waterboarding. Pompeo said he would consider reinstating it, although he couldn’t imagine that Trump would ask him to.

To the Moon, Alice!!!

(]CNN) - President Trump, in an attempt to tout his plan to send astronauts back to the moon and eventually Mars, slammed Hillary Clinton in a speech to US Marines in Miramar, California, on Tuesday. “You wouldn't be going to Mars if my opponent won,” Trump said. “You wouldn't even be thinking about it.”

Ummmmm.... Were any of those Marines PLANNING to go to Mars? Because I'm PRETTY sure they might have signed up for service planning to "see the world," but not from another planet. What the....

He later said that his administration would build a military force for space, called a “space force.”

Oh. My. Heavens. The "great namer" has struck again!!! What ingenuity!!! What genius!!! What crap.... And, um, who will the "space force" be protecting us from? Because I don't THINK he's really planning to build a wall THAT tall....

Trump said that he brought up the idea in a meeting and people responded, "What a great idea. Maybe we will have to do that.”

Donnie, honey, we've talked about that. Those are the voices in your head. Only you can hear them. We don't talk about them in public.

Trump installs former ‘Fox and Friends’ host as under secretary of state

Heather Nauert will replace Steve Goldstein, who contradicted the White House's account of Tillerson's firing.

Luke Barnes Mar 13, 2018, 6:13 pm

A State Department spokeswoman and former Fox and Friends co-host will replace a top aide to former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson who contradicted the official account of how Tillerson was fired Tuesday.

Steve Goldstein, former under secretary of public affairs, said that Tillerson found out about his firing on Tuesday morning after reading a tweet from President Donald Trump. The White House said that chief of staff John Kelly had previously told Tillerson he would be replaced. Goldstein, who had only been at his post since December, was fired on Tuesday as well.

The White House then confirmed State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert as acting under secretary for public diplomacy, with a White House official telling Axios, “Heather is the only one at State we trust.”

Nauert joined the State Department in April 2017 and has no previous diplomatic experience. When asked in February about the specifics of what the State Department was doing to end the violence in Syria, she responded, “I don’t know what some of you expect us to do.”

Prior to her job at State, Nauert was an anchor at Fox and Friends for five years, and previously worked at the New York Fox affiliate Fox 5 for most of her career.

The "only" person the White House trusts at the State Department has NO diplomatic experience?

Yeah, that sounds about right.

ICE spokesman quits after saying he ‘couldn’t bear the burden’ of lying for the Trump administration
ELIZABETH PREZA

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman James Schwab on Monday resigned from his role with the San Francisco division, citing the “burden” of spreading falsehoods from Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

As CNN reports, Schwab accused Sessions and Acting Director Tom Homan of deliberately spreading misleading information after ICE slammed Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s decision to warn the public about upcoming ICE raids.

An observation - Sessions may be on the verge of losing his job. I'm sure this would make Trump happy. After all, Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation very early on and Trump has already expressed his "disappointment" that, as a result, he's unable to do anything about Mueller.

If Trump replaces Sessions that new individual can fire Mueller - remember that Nixon when thru three AG's before he found someone willing to fire Cox.

I read somewhere that key Republican Senators have told reporters that if Trump fires Sessions, the Senate will not hold hearings for a new Attorney General. Then what? #2, who is currently over Mueller, needs to be fired, too? Then what?

Lis - about "see the world" - when my oldest brother joined the Navy, the motto was "join the Navy and see the world."

My brother ended up on a nuclear sub. LOL. He didn't complain; he had put in for that assignment, and the hazardous duty pay was welcome.
